This week’s Meeks & Meeks Montgomery County Player of the Week is former Clarksville Northwest High School star, Shatar McClay. McClay, was formerly named to the 2016 Leaf Chronicle/Legends Bank All-Area Football Team after his totaling 13 touchdowns, as a Junior, and corralling 36 receptions for 746 yards with a 19.6-yard average. Shatar’s encore this past season was good enough to earn him offers for a free education in Amherst, Massachusetts, among other places.  On defense, McClay also finished with 21 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble, as well as two punt return touchdowns, making him the most dynamic player in the metropolitan Clarksville area.

Shatar is a 6’0″ 185 pound WR-DB with long arms making him play even taller than his actual height.  He has fluid hips and excellent speed and is able to get on top of the deep ball or close on the underneath stuff.  Shatar, who has before worked with NPA, offseason, and played his high school football for Coach Vernon Wright at NorthWest High School had committed to the home-state University of Tennessee before opening back up his recruitment having undergone a change of heart.

We are very proud to award to Shatar McClay this week’s distination as the Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys, Montgomery County Player of the Week and continue to look forward to our partnership with Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys as we both continue to publicize and promote all of the fine young football players in Clarksville, Tennessee.
