The Todd County Rebel of the Week is...

Todd County Central is debuting a lot of different things this upcoming season. From a completely refurbished, state of the art, press box facility, to top-flight accoutrements like big-screen TVs in the press box, to new turf, and, in my humble opinion, to playing a style of hard-nosed, tough football which will make the Rebels a team opponents will circle on the schedule in the 2A classification as a night which will require the training staff to stock up on aspirin. Todd County is going to win and be a product people, county-wide, will take pride in supporting. Everyone I have talked to around the football community, as KPGFootball makes its daily rounds, expects this. There is nothing which will fix a football program sooner than an influx of athletic, fast, agile, football players being yearly promoted from out of the program’s middle school ranks. Todd County Central definitely has that in Class of 2022, QB/Athlete, Preston Moore.

In talking with Coach Darell Keith in preparing for this article, he told me Preston Moore begins day one as QB-2 for the varsity Rebels, behind Asa Young. Well, why shouldn’t he? I mean Preston is 6-1, weighs 165 pounds, and is already a varsity athlete, having played on Coach Frank Johnson’s District Champion, Regional Runner-up, varsity basketball team as only an 8th grader. The Rebels basket-ballers won 18 games this past season, losing to Bowling Green High at WKU in the Region 4 Championship Game. Preston also recently attended Murray State University’s Top-Gun, QB camp during which he threw the high school football 42 yards and ran a 4.7 second, 40 yard dash, making him one of the 5-8 fastest players in Kentucky’s 2022 class. Preston led Todd County Middle to its best season in recent memory, quarter-backing the middle schoolers to a 6-2 mark. One thing is certain, getting players matriculating to high school each year with the athleticism and ability of Preston Moore will fix what ails any program mighty fast!

Congratulations to Class of 2022‘s Preston Moore for being this week’s Todd County Central Rebel of the Week. This is Fletcher Long, reporting for KPGFootball reminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE!
