Tyleeq Williams (’24, RB/DB) put on quite the show against Mason in the Semis
TyTy Williams is a primetime running back in the 3A classification and particularly among ’24 prospects. He has excellent burst, nimble feet, and a feel for where to go which most of us reference as ‘field vision.’ All of his skills were on display in the Semis. They will have to have a similar effort today.

The Championship weekend has gotten off to one heck of a start. Today we will have three more marquee games to watch today. It is my favorite weekend all year long.
Most people are overlooking the Bardstown Tigers. Sure, the Tigers are 14-0, just like Christian Academy-Louisville (CAL), but the Centurions are prohibitive favorites. Bardstown’s winning would be termed an upset, strange as that may sound.
This maybe the only time in Kentucky high school football history a 14-0 team has entered a championship game an underdog. There is a first time for everything we suppose.
Now, if Tyleeq Williams shows us today what he showed Mason County a week ago, CAL may end up walking off Kroger Field scratching their heads. Williams tore it up in the Semis.
Williams carried the football 26-times a week ago, gained 168-yards from scrimmage, and scored 4-rushing TD’s. He also caught a TD through the air, giving him 30-points scored on the afternoon.
So, with Bardstown only scoring 38-points in the semi-final matchup, Williams was credited with 30 of those 38-points. We aren’t great at math; but, by our count, Williams scored close to 80% of the team’s points.
Can Williams replicate that effort today in the championship game against CAL? If the Tigers want to hang around with the Centurions, we would suggest Williams give it the old college try!
