Here’s how we see Round 4 shaking out…Just the Facts, Ma’am!

Okay guys, time to crow a little (more). We selected 48-second round games in which we picked the winner for Round 2 of the KHSAA football playoffs. In those 48-games, we were correct in 40 of those. Our 2nd round winning percentage was just over 83% (.833 ad infinitum). Don’t care who you are, that is pretty dad-burn good. We went 18-6 in the Regional Championship round, which is 75%, with some rather astounding upsets standing between us and perfection.

What can we say? We aren’t the foremost authority in HS football in Kentucky for nothing. This week we will go right down the brackets and pick the teams we believe will go on to Kroger Field, or the State Championship. We will do this by Classifications.

1A

Paintsville over KCD; and

Pikeville over Holy Cross (Louisville).

2A

Breathitt County over Somerset; and

Mayfield over Beechwood.

3A

Bell County over Taylor County; and

DeSales over Belfry (should thrill Belfry, they never lose when we pick against them, sorry DeSales).

4A

Boyle County over Central; and

Johnson Central over Madisonville North-Hardin.

5A

Covington Catholic over Bowling Green; and

Owensboro over Frederick Douglass.

6A

Male over Tates Creek; and

Trinity over North Hardin.

That’s how we see round 4 shaking out this coming Friday night. Don’t worry if we didn’t pick your team to win, we only got 75% of round 3 correct, 83% of round 2, and nearly 90% of round 1 correct. So, we’ve been wrong before, albeit not often, but we have been wrong before.
