East Robertson came into last week’s games looking for its first win of the season. The Cascade Champions were in town and East Robertson boasts a 6-3, 175-pound WR/Athlete, who happens to have been moved to QB for the Indians this season. Groves is a prospect so highly coveted by UT they have already offered him, even where he is just now a sophomore in HS.

East Robertson fell behind two scores and things were looking bleak. That is when the cream rises to the top. That is when the stars show themselves on a football field.

East Robertson, behind the stellar play of Groves, scored 21 unanswered points in the second half of the game to come away 21-14 victors in the Class 2A, 4th Region match-up. We are willing to bet no one was any happier about that come-back than first year coach, Altee Pond.

Congratulations, to Taylor Groves of Cross Plains, Tennessee for being selected, again this week, the Stewart Williams Furniture Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week. Join us, next week, as we anoint a new recipient.
