Well, yesterday against Tinity began promisingly but we were sort of in like a lion and out like a lamb. Still, one could see that there is a very thin line from where Centre is as a program and where it is going. We need to eliminate mistakes and take better car of the football, but should we, one can easily see conference championships and NCAA runs in the program’s future.

We are 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in SAA competition, still holding our destinies in our own hands. A win over highly regarded Trinity Texas, and one over BSU in Birmingham a week later, will crown us “Kings of the SAA Conference” and guarantee a bid to the NCAA’s. It doesn’t matter what we have done before now, now is the only thing which counts. Go Colonels!

Bardstown is sitting at 9-0 on the year with East Jessamine the only thing standing between the Tigers and a perfect regular season. Bardstown has the highest RPI in the commonwealth at its level of play. These guys look the part to us, as does their splendid young defender Amonti Marshall (No. 7, ’25). Enjoy the feature. HB.

The Centre Colonels raised its record to 3-1 with a road loss to a very good Trine team its only blemish. Still, proponents of offensive football have to be concerned with how Centre is performing as the team just keeps imploding offensively. Just who do these Greenwood Gators think they are? Well, Class 5A title contenders if the Gators’ performance to date means anything at all. The Gators have played a meaty and tough schedule with a brutal closing stretch upcoming but many around Warren County believe they have the recipe for upsetting some folks around the 2nd district.
