Man Robinson was one of only three ’28’s to make either the small or large school all-state football teams. Big Ass Fans sponsored the team and continues to demonstrate a willingness to support and promote young Kentucky kids in the pursuit of their dreams and aspirations. We are proud to award this week’s award and recognition to one of those three freshmen who are now (and forever more) known as football All-staters. Enjoy the feature and let’s keep it cool out there Kentucky!

It has been hailed as the most thorough and comprehensive all-state football team in Kentucky history. Big Ass Fans and its selection committee honored 152-players, Kentucky wide, from each of its six (6) classifications. People on this team attend 81 of Kentucky 220-some odd high schools across the commonwealth. Two member of the Central Storm made the squad. We’re here to tell you about them.

Sometimes we get excited about an article and decide to publish it early. This next article is one which usually runs on Wednesdays but we are running it on Tuesday afternoon. Enjoy this look at a freshman linebacker so good he made the Big Ass Fans, Large School All-State defense this season. No telling what the future holds for this prospect. Rylan Gillion from Franklin County is the @bigassfans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @ChiefSmoke10, @minguabeefjerky, @FCFlyerFootball, @FLYERATHLETICS

December 6, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

Rylan Gillion came up big at (perhaps) the biggest game of the year. Covington Catholic, fresh off an improbable win over Kentucky’s very best football team at the high school level, rolled into Frankfort, Kentucky looking for its second road-upset of the playoffs. What they found was a mighty cool customer in Rylan Gillion. Gillion’s production may have accounted for the 14-10 margin in the Flyers’ favor. Now, it is on to Lexington where Franklin County will play a talented Paducah Tilghman team. Enjoy the feature and let’s keep it cool out there Kentucky!

Brady Atwell is firmly in the hunt for Kentucky’s “Mr. Football.” His uncle won the distinction in 1999 and playing at a level (Class A) which hasn’t boaster too many winners. Brady has a tough road to haul with Beechwood coming to Lexington seeking the same distinction as the Catholic club. Enjoy this feature and remember to both stop and smell the roses and #SavorTheFlavor.

It is getting time to vote for “Mr. Football” around Kentucky. There are plenty of candidates this year who have taken their teams to unimaginable heights. One candidate who shouldn’t be discounted nor overlooked is Union County’s Jarren Johnson. This guy here has had a “Mr. Football-type” season for the very reasons we discuss herein. Enjoy the feature.
