Cade Scott is raring to go and improve on what his teammates and he did in ’23. The Green Wave were quick out of the gate, winning five of the first six, then faded down the stretch, losing one of its last games by a solitary point to Pleasure Ridge Park (Lou.). Scott is a 6’5,” 200 pound QB who can play LB (if need be) and punts. He is also a varsity B-Baller. Well, scrimmages are in full swing. This time last year, a 4A team I had predicted would struggle tied a 5A power in a scrimmage which made the 4A coach scream all over social media that I was a complete idiot. The 4A team went 1-9, the 5A team challenged for the title at its level of play. Obviously, that scrimmage was meaningless. Well, Friday night Johnson’s Apollo squad pasted Logan County, at 4A team usually in the hunt. What does it mean? Does it mean anything? We’ll discuss. Friday Night Fletch.

Demarkese Harris stepped away from the game in ’23 for reasons for which we wouldn’t be so bold as to fathom a guess. We can tell you “Kese” is back in a big way at Christian County and no two coaches are any happier about that than head man, Ethan Atchley, and defensive coordinator, Tony “Cheese” McCombs. Look for Kese to put up monster production in the coming Fall and look for his Colonels to be a much improved outfit than the one you remember from the year prior. Enjoy the article. The Colts were among the more feared teams in HS football. Then, all of a sudden, they weren’t. It has been a long battle back up the ladder but St. Francis DeSales looks poised to resume its place among the Kentucky elite. Tristin Dillard came out of Middle School ranked by most the pundits among the top three RBs in Kentucky’s 2027 graduating class. Dillard had a solid freshman season but has transferred to 6A, first district, Christian County and looks to us to be set for take off.
