LCA routinely produces the finest college talent in the commonwealth in spite of playing at the 2A classification. As we have said umpteen time, where you compete (classification-wise) is pretty meaningless in Kentucky. In the KHSAA, we have good teams and not so good teams. Both types span all six (6) classes. Enjoy this look at a kid who has the name to go as far as he would like in the sport of football. He has the measurements and the skills too. Enjoy the feature.

JJ Austin is a workhorse for one of Kentucky’s premier programs. He leads the team in rushing, and rushing the football is what the Pirates do best. JJ is also more than a token defender. What will he do in ’25, as a senior? One might say he is “in the lead” to represent the “Big Ass Fans” Small School All-State Football Offense at FB/LB in 2025. It is still early. Aiden Jesse is putting up prodigious numbers, particularly for a team which has struggled as mightily as have the Colonels. Jesse is also impressing the right people as recruiting interest in him is heightening. This is a prospect who we could see signing with any team at virtually any level of competition. Kadin Hanshaw is among the more versatile performers in the entire commonwealth of Kentucky. One might say he is “in the lead” to represent the “Big Ass Fans” Large School All-State Football Offense at RB/LB in 2025. It is still early. However, what this guy did as a sophomore was pretty dad-burn impressive and made him a serious candidate for the ’24 team even though he ended up getting edged out. Some call him “Mario.” Some just call him “Rio.” All call him special. Litmer is the QB for one of the most high profile programs in Kentucky 5A or at any classification if we are being honest. Litmer is 6’0,” weighs 176-pounds and, at only 16-years of age, completed over 68% of his passing attempts his junior season and finished with a QBR of 128.1. Highlands won 11-games in ’24, made the semis, and have a vital piece back for another run in ’25. Who knows how far this “Mr. Football” candidate can take them.
