Lincoln Acree won this award this past offseason for an incredible outing at the Rivals camp in Atlanta. Once the season commenced, the stud athlete was up to his old tricks. When you play for Graves County, a win over Mayfield doesn’t happen everyday so it should be celebrated and rewarded.

August 22, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

The final preseason tune-up bode well for the near future as the Storm went 4-0 in varsity and JV scrimmages in a three team round robin including Russellville and Ohio County. We will break down the action from that outing and see if we can’t read the tea leaves regarding the upcoming future. Enjoy this feature.

Scouting Report: Russellville Next Scrimmage Up Before Season Starts; Transfer Rumors[?]

August 15, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

We are steamrolling into the season opener on August 23rd. There is still the matter of a scrimmage against the Russellville Panthers. The Panthers were an extremely young, inexperienced team a year ago. These guys are always athletic and the added experience should indicate a different Panther squad than the one we saw limp to a 2-9 finish in 2023. Enjoy this “scouting report.” Friday Night Fletch.

RB Cortez Stone, from Central High (Louisville), is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week @8gocrazzyyRB @AlPopsFootball @KyHighFootball

August 6, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

This is a kid many believe may be the definitive running back in the commonwealth of Kentucky in the class of ’25. He gained close to 1,900 yards a year ago and added another couple hundred receiving. His Central team is yearly in the running for a title in its classification and we don’t believe ’24 will be any different. Enjoy this feature and and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor. This article here will prove “we’re out there” as much as any we have published maybe ever. Getting a handle on whom will be manning any team’s OL is a challenge. We can’t comment on all five slots, but feel confident we can predict three of the five slots. Enjoy this edition of Storm Warning. Friday Night Fletch.

Landon Yoak from East Carter is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week. @Landon_yoak @echsfb @CoachChamplin @AlPopsFootball @840WHAS @KyHighFootball

July 24, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

Landon Yoak was one of Kentucky’s leaders in yards gained rushing from scrimmage a season ago. He was only a sophomore and helped lead his team to a 9-3 finish and near upset of Bell County, a 3A finalist, in the regional championship game. The Raiders lost 38-36 in overtime. Well Tim Champlin’s team looks to be loaded and ready for an even deeper run. Having the Yoak kid back for his junior season, at the pace he is setting, will be HUGE.
