Some call him “Mario.” Some just call him “Rio.” All call him special. Litmer is the QB for one of the most high profile programs in Kentucky 5A or at any classification if we are being honest. Litmer is 6’0,” weighs 176-pounds and, at only 16-years of age, completed over 68% of his passing attempts his junior season and finished with a QBR of 128.1. Highlands won 11-games in ’24, made the semis, and have a vital piece back for another run in ’25. Who knows how far this “Mr. Football” candidate can take them.

Xzavion Brown is among the more dynamic and explosive interior defensive linemen in the commonwealth of Kentucky. You talk about a guy who can penetrate and be disruptive as well as hold a gap or two, this is your man. His junior statistics bear out that he has a penchant for making big plays which put offenses behind the down and distance markers. Enjoy this look at this very fine football player.

There are good players all over the commonwealth. This is true of teams which enjoy success and it is equally true of teams and programs which tend to struggle. Dunbar High is coming off a 1-9 and is struggling a bit at the present time. That said, Elijah Lewis had a fantastic year. We are winding up our coverage of the ’25’s but didn’t want to drop these guys without reporting on a guy who stepped it up this year in tough circumstances. Baron Hardesty is putting up prodigious numbers, particularly in the weight room. He is also impressing all the right people. This is a prospect who we could see signing with any team at virtually any level of competition. Dee Parker from Whitely County was one of the few RBs in 4A to rush for close to 2,000 yards while contributing in all three phases of the game. The third phase of football is often overlooked. I was watching the BYU/Colorado bowl game last week and BYU rode a third phase clinic to a 20-0 halftime lead and an eventual victory over a favored foe. The third phase can do that for you.
