We are very pleased to welcome Lasaters Coffee & Tea to our growing family of advertisers. Football has been very good to their family and they look for ways to give back to this very special community. Lasaters is a place one goes to get caffeinated and motivated and couldn’t we all use a bit more of that invigoration in our daily routines. Fans don’t pay much attention to offensive linemen. We do at KPGFootball. Matter of fact, Coach Long coached the position when he was in the business and has a keen eye for offensive line play. Nothing takes the place of being stout in the A-Gap. Pressure from there is almost certain to result in an offensive mistake, a turnover, or a play putting the offense in an unfavorable down and distance situation. Garrett Courtney, and offensive centers like him, are of critical importance. Enjoy this feature about a guy pretty darn good at what he is called upon to do.

High school football will always be the land of the 6’0″ pulling guard. Programs have been built on the backs of exceptional football players at the high school level who found themselves an inch too short, 15 pounds too light, or a fraction of a second slower than the position requires. Notwithstanding these inadequacies, these guys tend to find a way to make it happen regardless. This guy today is such a guy. Now the may bloom late and grow into a larger, more suitable for D-1 type frame. For now, he is an exceptionally talented, hard nosed, football player on one of Kentucky’s premier teams vying for a championship. Enjoy the feature.

Alexander Schuster looks to battle it out for a slot along the interior offensive line for Kentucky’s premier high school football program. It is hard to find the field for Trinity until your junior season no matter who you are. Schuster has worked his tail off and has bided his time. It is his day. Trinity is coming off a 13-2 season and yet another 6A KHSAA football title. All told, Trinity has won 29-championships and favored to make it 30. Schuster’s frame and growth potential are big pluses for him as he is our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator this week. Let’s keep it cool out there KY.

We have been familiar with the work of Craig A. Walters, a.k.a. “Blade,” and everything he has done to serve Hopkinsville High School and its sports programs over the bast half a century. We believe Walters has served the programs at Hopkinsville High, in whatever capacity is deemed needed, since his graduating from Christian County High School in 1976. What we have learned, traveling around the commonwealth covering football, is that every legitimate, successful program has a Walters-type guy. This article is in honor of Craig Walters and every other volunteer like him across our beloved Kentucky. The game we love and cherish wouldn’t be the same without your efforts. We are in your debt. Thank you.

Storm Warning: Khristian Scott is looking to meet opponents at the cross roads this season… @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

Khristian Scott has “the look.” He is 6’3,” in the neighborhood of 265, and has a glare that would make a stranger want to cross the street just to get away from him. We need more tough guys like him manning the lines of scrimmage in Morton’s Gap. Enjoy this exclusive look at a player who will factor in heavily in the Storm’s seasonal prospects.

We believe the Maroons look poised to have a wonderful season. They have one of the best TEs in the game in Jayden Travis. They have some all-state types like Travion Stafford and Kirk LaGrange. They have some “young guns” like Kaden Price and Ryder Sandidge. Having a “Mr. Football” candidate at RB doesn’t hurt. Enjoy this feature on a kid very deserving of some of the world’s finest beef jerky products and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor out there in Madisonville, KY.

Markezz Hightower, they always call him ‘Mr. Touchdown;’ soon, they may call him ‘Mr. Football’ @markezz_25, @BlueGreyFB, @All_American_Me, @Maroon_FB_MNHHS, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee, @khassfootball, @KyHighFootball

Markezz Hightower maybe this season’s Cortez Stone (Central High, Lou., ’25). What do we mean? We mean Hightower might be Kentucky’s elite RB in the commonwealth at any classification of competition. Hightower is 5’10,” 185-pounds who clips off the 40 in the 4.5 range with a vertical (35-inches) that collaborates the running time. Hightower clips off the 100-meters in 11-seconds, squats 450, deadlifts 515, and cleans 230. He may be Mr. Football, or so we think anyway. Enjoy this feature on a kid who we support for “Mr. Football” and who should be in the thick of the race all season long provided he continues to produce at a similar clip to his first three seasons.

BO-dacious; Belfry’s big-time OG! @wolford_bo, @BelfryFootball1, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @WYMT, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee

July 14, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Bo Wolford is a bodacious, fine tactician at the offensive line slot. That is one heck of a compliment. He is also the KHSAA’s best interior guy blocking along any front competing at the high school level. We have followed this guy for years. Our admiration for him just continues to grow. Last year, as a junior, Bo-Bo was a first team All-Stater on the Big Ass Fans Small School team and a 2nd teamer on the Courier Journal squad. We believe he is the KHSAA’s best player at the position even though he is likely to slide out to tackle and play there this coming season. Enjoy this feature about one of our favorite players.
