The group, Alabama, one of my favorite country acts from the 80s, wrote a song about the working man entitled “40-hour week.” As the lyrics said, the song glorified 🎶…everyone who work[ed] behind the scenes/ With a spirit you can’t replace with no machine…🎶. Those lyrics and the very definition of a “lunch pail” guy fit Mike Lewis so well. He was from a pedigree of football stars from Hopkinsville, Kentucky and he would follow in his father’s footsteps of a Lewis mightily contributing to Tiger football success.
