This should start a ton of crap. Class 3A was particularly hard to predict this preseason. First of all, there were so many teams from a year ago completely decimated by graduation. There may be even better players waiting in the wings to take the departing players’ place but that is something hard for us to know. We don’t pick teams in our top-5 who can’t make it out of the district round of the playoffs in our estimation. This bothered the Murray High fans when we released our 2A top-5 and they were excluded. It is simple, we don’t see them getting past Mayfield two years in a row. Anyhow, here is our take concerning the 3A classification. Enjoy the feature. Let the debate commence. HB.

Talk about an exceptional athlete, the Kentucky high school ranks may not have one superior to Blake Birchfield. He is a guy who pitches in and helps his ball club every conceivable way. Jack is a ’22 prospect who plays LB/WR in the 4A classification for one of its premier programs. You don’t always see that O/D combination. We believe he had the best game turned in by a WR at his stage of development we have ever before seen. That is mighty high praise indeed. Can’t wait to see the debate this is sure to facilitate. This should get posted on quite a few bulletin boards across Kentucky. That’s okay, it is why we are here. We are ranking, preseason, the top-five teams in each of Kentucky’s 6-Classifications. We will do this every Thursday. Today, we give you how we see the 2A classification finishing.
