’26 two way lineman aiming for an All-State season and leading from the front
Coach Chris Ezell would be the first to tell you his roster is thin. That being said, the first team looks outstanding and should the injuries stay away the Wildcats look to be a contender and headed for eight (8) to nine (9) Ws, and we’re being fairly conservative. One reason for the optimism is having players like senior Quin Baggett. Baggett is what we call in the football world a “Hoss.” He’s a four (4) year starter the second the season opens and he runs out on the field with the first-string. He’s also a 3.9 GPA.

Cadiz, KY: Quin Baggett started his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. When he starts as a senior this coming year, and every indication is he will (barring injury), Baggett will be a four (4) year starter in the Trigg County High football varsity lineup.
Those don’t come everyday. This kid is just that good.
Baggett is a hulking mass of muscle. Baggett is listed between 6’2″ and 6’4,” 275-pounds with the height listed varying by recruiting service and according on whom you ask.
What isn’t in dispute is Baggett being very good at the game of football. On that point, we all seem to agree.
It hasn’t been all sunshine and roses. Baggett had a nagging knee injury his sophomore season through which Baggett was able to play. Baggett had it cleaned up last offseason and has been heavily involved in rehab. Baggett enters the senior year in the best shape in which he has ever commenced any season.

Friday Night Fletch
This is pretty exciting stuff for Wildcat fans as Baggett had quite a terrific junior season. In addition to starting upfront offensively, clearing the way for one of the premier RBs on this end of the commonwealth (Davaree Gude), Baggett was a star on defense.
On defense, Baggett registered 55-tackles, six (6) TFLs, half a sack, four FFs (forced fumbles), and a pair of FRs (fumble recoveries). That is a ton of “specialty stats” indicating his spending copious amounts of time in the opposing backfield wrecking the opponent’s plans. That four (4) forced fumbles statistic is particularly impressive.
We were able to reach Coach Chris Ezell, the head man of the Wildcat program. He told KPGFootball this about his two way lineman, “Baggett works hard in everything he does. From the weight room, to practice, to conditioning, he’s the first one to the drill and the last one to leave the field.”
Ezell concluded, “Baggett’s 3.9 GPA certainly speaks to that quality. Baggett is a credit to our program.”
We can’t make it any simpler than that. We’ll see you at the game!
