Just to give you an idea the role Kentucky Prep Gridiron plays in the promotion of the kids we cover, we thought it would be neat to look at this year’s AP All-State Football Team and see just how many of them have, either formerly or presently, make one of our All-State Teams. The results were illuminating. HB.

Rivals Dave tweeted out that he treats information sent him about Appalachia Mountain, Kentucky football players as “spam.” Well, we disagree with Rivals. We think there are fine football players all over the mountains. The USAF Academy agrees with us and was in the mountains last night to scout some 2021s and check in with its 2020 signee, Grayson Cook. Who did the Falcons evaluate? We have the “who’s” and the “why’s” in this article.

Our opinion of the Coaches’ All-State Football team? We offer the following friendly amendments!

December 20, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

No team gets them all. The Coaches’ All-State Football team was just announced and it was a fine one with every player we saw deserving of selection. Still, we feel they undervalued some of the players and missed on some others. So here are our “friendly amendments and additiions” to the Coaches’ team. The media team will be out before you know it and I am pretty sure we will screw the pooch in the eye of many when it is our time to draw the fire. HB.

Some of Kentucky’s very best to take in Breathitt-Middlesboro game…

First off, everyone of the “spectators” who will be taking in the festivities in round 2 of the KHSAA football playoffs would rather still be playing. However, if it so happens your team isn’t still playing, pure football fanatics for the Kentucky high school game still enjoy going to watch their friends and fellow stars play. That is the case for this Friday as the Riverbank in Jackson, Kentucky will be welcoming some true Kentucky high school football dignitaries and even one “future star” to take in one of the more compelling games to be played in the 2A classification’s second round. Enjoy the article. HB.

Here’s a player with incredible length and frame to play right where Breathitt has him deployed. Want to know why the Bobcats’ defense is being raved about all over the Bluegrass? Having a 6-5, 240-pound DE with incredibly long arms and upper-level mobility sure doesn’t hurt. Read about this prospect playing on one of the hottest teams in Kentucky’s young 2019 football season this year. HB

Friday Night’s weekly winners…August 30, 2019!

August 26, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

Throughout the season we pick weekly winners. It was one of our more popular segments a year ago. This year we will decide which games we cover based on our “hits.” Read us, you get covered. Ignore us, we ignore you. These are some Friday night match-ups in areas where we get a lot of views. This week we thought we might enliven things by singling out some games for witty commentary. You have to be a member to read this level of content. That’s what keeps us in business.

Justin Bair, Kenwood HS, is this week’s Meeks and Meeks Attorneys Montgomery County Player of the Week…

Both Kavarius Moody and Justin Bair grew up playing football for me when I was on the coaching staff in the Packers organization in Clarksville, Tennessee. It is gratifying to see both of them starring for Kenwood High School and both appear poised to factor largely into the game with Hopkinsville tonight. This kid, like Moody, is a winner and a player who makes teams for which he plays better. Can’t complement any young player anymore than that. Enjoy the article.
