We were talking with our friend, Rusty Goble the other day. Goble is the OC at Trigg County. He was excited to be getting a ton of talent back on the “active” roster from the “injured reserve.” According to Rusty, “We have everyone back with the exception of Peyton Williams. We may be the best one win team in KY.” Well, now they are a “two-win” team as they smoked the Rebels from Todd County 48-6, and with the help of this week’s PoW, just might be a dangerous team entering the playoffs. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.

Garyon Hobbs may be the best ’27 player in the KHSAA at any level. Many of the recruiting services are of this opinion. Many of the Division I, FBS football coaches in the surrounding areas concur. Hobbs plays for a team which has become among the hottest teams in the KHSAA. Atherton High, whom we call the “Big A-Train” around the magazine but which prefers to be called “The Big A-Factory,” has developed into a team others would just as soon not see on the schedule. Atherton, for years, was a joke in certain KHSAA circles but isn’t funny at all anymore since the arrival of its enigmatic, young, energetic young head football coach, Anthony White. Enjoy this look at the Ravens from Atherton High who are sure to make some noise at the 5A level in this season’s playoffs. Don’t be surprised if the Ravens hang around quite a while.

Kameron Wilson is among the more versatile performers in the ’27 class Kameron Wilson is the leading rusher for the Caldwell County Tigers (6-2). That isn’t close to all he is. Wilson leads the club in TDs rushing, TDs receiving, average yards per carry (12+ per), and scoring (12.8 per […]

Storm Warning: Storm travels to Murray High coming off, maybe, its best performance of the season: @LasatersCoffee, @Ale8One, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning

The Storm will close with Murray High (7-0), and then Crittenden County (4-3). It would be nice to slip on Murray and catch them looking ahead to 6-2 Caldwell, but hard to count on that. Regardless, you have to take teams one at a time. Murray High team presents an opportunity to play an opponent who may out-talent us a bit but who can have a bad night as easily as the next guy. We need this game and are hoping our seniors can rise up and deliver it. Let’s get ready to car-pool to Murray, KY and cheer our boys onto victory. First read this…it will get you prepared for the road ahead.

In 1973, country artist Johnny Russell released a classic song about rednecks, white sox, and blue ribbon beer. The “blue ribbon beer” Mr. Russell was referencing in the song written by Wayland Holyfield and Bob McDill was Pabst Blue Ribbon. We don’t know whether Nathan Pabst is descended from the Frederick Pabst for whom the beer was named but we do know the penchant Nathan Pabst has for rendering on the football field a blue ribbon performance. Well, Nathan rendered such a performance last Friday Night against Erlanger, KY’s St. Henry’s. St. Henry’s is new to KHSAA football. Lesson number one, done schedule trips to Fort Mitchell, KY unless you enjoy embarrassing “beat downs.” Enjoy this serial article awarding the Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator.

Storm Warning: Game against Webster County (1-6) presents real opportunity… @LasatersCoffee, @Ale8One, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning

The Storm have a closing stretch of Webster County (1-6), Murray High (7-0), and then Crittenden County (4-3). It would be nice to slip on Murray and catch them looking ahead to 5-2 Caldwell, but hard to count on that. Regardless, you have to take teams one at a time. This Webster County team presents an opportunity to play an opponent we have the horses to beat, even in Dixon. We need this game badly and are hoping our seniors can rise up and deliver it to us. Let’s get ready to car-pool to Dixon, KY and cheer our boys onto victory. First read this…it will get you prepared for the road ahead.

This is a special edition of our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator series. Keshawn Dixon, a senior RB/LB at 2A, Fort Campbell High, is posting some incredible numbers in this, his senior year. Unfortunately, this doesn’t stop the federal government shut down from shutting down his team, his coaches, his teammates, and his assault on the KHSAA statistical website among 2A and KHSAA players. We need to find some way to come together and end the gridlock. That is as close to a political statement as you will ever get from us. If we wanted to talk politics, we would cover it. Enjoy this look at Keshawn Dixon, our Big Ass Fans, Kentucky Comfort Creator!

We thought we would head on over to the Derby City and catch up with one of our favorite RBs on one of our favorite teams. Parker Rudolph (’26) is a RB prospect who has the speed, power, and explosion (twitch) to play free or strong safety at the next level too. He can return kicks, punts, work the slot catching the ball, and use his backend separation speed and spacial quicks to gain a ton of after contact yardage. At Big Ass Fans, we reach out and impact all parts of Kentucky, large or small, wherever we are needed. Parker Rudolph is having a fine season particularly for a 1A RB on an undefeated, contending football team, so we thought we would honor him today. Very quietly, almost without notice, Coby Lewis, in his first season at the helm of the Lakers, is turning in a whale of a season and turning a lot of heads around the commonwealth in coaching circles. He has “The Lakers” out to a 4-1 start, the best start it started the 2016 season with a 6-1 record and one of Western Kentucky’s great defensive units. This week’s Player of the Week, Logan Smith, enjoyed just a spectacular game, but then again, he has been doing things like this his entire Laker career. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.
