Centre had a tough afternoon in Birmingham Alabama against conference powerhouse, Birmingham Southern University. The defensive performance was a debacle. That may be the only way to say it. HB.
We are 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in SAA competition, still holding our destinies in our own hands. A win over highly regarded Trinity Texas, and one over BSU in Birmingham a week later, will crown us “Kings of the SAA Conference” and guarantee a bid to the NCAA’s. It doesn’t matter what we have done before now, now is the only thing which counts. Go Colonels!
The Centre Colonels raised its record to 3-1 with a road loss to a very good Trine team its only blemish. Still, proponents of offensive football have to be concerned with how Centre is performing as the team just keeps imploding offensively. Can the defense continue to carry the ball club into the winner’s circle? Well, that is the $64 question, no isn’t it? HB.
