This usually is a pretty fun article. A few days ago we posted the “KPGFootball Scorecard.” On that document we memorialized the matchup and just who we believed would win and why. What we do in the scorecard is give you the solution. What we don’t do is demonstrate how we worked the problem. Thursdays, during the football season, we often publish an article which “shows our math.” If you read this article you will see why we picked the teams we picked to win and why we picked the teams we picked to lose. You may not agree and that is okay. We are wrong between 10-15% of the time. It makes for fine reading and generous discussion. Enjoy the article.

Get the ball to (Mikey) Hager @fb_phs, @PikevilleHSFB, @hagermikey0, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @eCampusdotcom, @KatherineL58069, @bigassfans

We are approaching for most teams the fifth or sixth game of the year. District play either started last night or begins for most teams next Friday Night. Point is, it is getting serious. We believe Pikeville is right in the thick of the 1A race, their record (3-3) notwithstanding. The polls around the Bluegrass would indicate we aren’t the only ones. There is something which seems to have worked well all year that the Panthers need to continue (in our opinion). Get the ball to Mikey Hager! He won’t let you down, we certify that as a FACT. The advice is free.

@michael64635922 (Brian Baker), from @POCOFootball is the unadulterated ‘King of the Bluegrass Kickers (and Punters)’

Punters and Kickers are too often overlooked. When you have someone like Brain Baker punting and kicking for your high school team, you get to witness that one-third of the game really impact outcomes. Powell County and its new coach, Mike Jones, will be blessed to have one of Kentucky’s only 5-star, nationally ranked, high school players handling that aspect of the game in 2020. Enjoy the article. Coach Lyon’s Class 3A preseason top-10 football poll…

July 26, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

Someone contacted old Coach Lyon and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, today seemed like as good a day as any to continue the tradition. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A and yesterday we projected Class 2A. Today we give you our projections for the next classification up from the lowest one, here is Class 3A!
