There is a reason the games get played on the field. Many of us around Kentucky were penciling in a victory for Hopkins County Central over Madisonville North-Hopkins last week. This week’s recipient reminded all of us there is a reason these things have to get played out on the gridiron and not on different scribes computer publishing programs. Enjoy this feature and join us next week as we do all of this once more. HB.

Class of 2020’s Jeriah Hightower (@HightowerJeriah) is the Independence Bank (@1776Bank) Revolutionary Player of the Year for 2019

December 13, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

In a departure from our customary Revolutionary Player of the Week, we thought it would be cool to award a Player of the Year for 2019 from out of the areas serviced by Independence Bank, the fastest growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky. We can’t imagine a player who meant more to the offensive production of his team than this season’s recipient, Jeriah Hightower of Madisonville North-Hopkins. We will get back to designating players of the week next week, but for now, enjoy this article about a kid who really came through for his team for much longer than one week.

Jordan Vaughn, Madisonville North-Hopkins (Class of 2020), is the Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry. This week’s recipient is a player who is a coveted and talented front-line star for the Maroons from Madisonville North-Hopkins. His efforts really make the Maroons’ offense roll. Join us next week as we award this to another worthy recipient.

Jared Gobin, Madisonville North-Hopkins, Class of 2020, DE…

Got an inquiry about a Jared Gobin and put out some feelers to my Western Kentucky correspondents about him. What I got back made me curious as to why we don’t hear more about him. Seems to me he is putting up All-State type numbers and, in the class room, he’s an ivy-leaguer. This kid will be signed and will play next level if he wants to, that I promise you. Enjoy the article about Madisonville North-Hopkins’ fine DE, Class of 2020, Jared Gobin.
