KPGFootball’s Preseason Top-Five (1A) @bigassfans, @minguabeefjerky, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

It is that time of year. It is time to start figuring which teams, entering the ’25 season, figure to factor in the title chase. We have detailed what we think here and it is based on our study of the incoming, ’25 rosters, what players return, what players graduated, and other various factors we have perfected through the years to render such predictions. We plan to do this for all of Kentucky’s six (6) classifications and there is no guarantee we will go in order from the top down, or the bottom to the top. There are good football teams in the KHSAA and there are bad ones and those teams span all of the six classes. Enjoy today’s look at 1A. Keep checking back as we may drop another class any time we feel like it.

Luke Pennington, a Dayton commit, has been keeping it pretty cool out there under the “Friday Night Lights.” Matter of fact, our Kentucky Comfort Creator has thrown 82-TDs the last two seasons without a single INT. He completes nearly 80% of his passing attempts making him among the most efficient QBs the high school game in Kentucky has ever seen. Enjoy the feature and let’s keep it cool out there Kentucky.

Watch out Sayre (11-0); here come the Paris Greyhounds in round two! @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLpreps @MaxPreps @HopkinsCentral @840WHAS @sfitz_840whas @evans02_Mike

Paris heads to Lexington, KY to take on the 11-0, Sayre Spartans, and its splendiferous sophomore QB, Luke Pennington. Pennington had thrown 37-TD passes to zero INTs entering the first round game against Harlan. However, Paris has some fine talent of its own, including ’27 signal-caller, Julius Gregory and a young head coach everyone is talking discussing (Tyquan Rice, pictured). We will take a look at this matchup, which might go a ways toward reserving a slot on Kroger Field in early December. Friday Night Fletch
