I once heard having an accomplished place kicker in the fold likened to finding a $20.00 bill in your dry cleaning. We have written about this player previously but her ability is so pronounced and her importance so vast, entering the ’26 season she is worth another feature. Back to our “finding $20 in one’s dry cleaning scenario;” one may not know one even needs $20.00; but, it comes in handy when one is both hungry and thirsty and one finds what one needs just sitting in one’s pocket. Jayleigh Campbell is not just an accomplished placekicker who converted just over 81% of her PATs (9 for 11) but she is a rising senior who should compete for the job at the newly consolidated high school. It must be something to realize your kicking game is so competently handled and looks to remain so for the foreseeable future. Congratulations to Jayleigh Campbell for being our ‘Wake Up and Smell the Coffee (or Tea)’ Player of the Week a second time from Lasaters Coffee & Tea where you are more than served, you are loved!
