The season is right around the corner. Therefore, we will take the next six or so days to highlight for your the top teams in each classification of play throughout the KHSAA. Today, with a special thanks to our friends at Big Ass Fans, we look at the 1A classification. Pikeville and Raceland look to be the class of the classification with Holy Cross (Lou.) looking like it may make a tremendous stride over what it turned in last season (5-7). Enjoy this look at 1A.

We continue to feature some of the better QBs in the KHSAA. That being said, there aren’t too many better than Holy Cross’s Jerek Hoover who is 6’0,” 170-pounds, threw for close to two-thousand yards last year while running for another 634, and scored or was responsible for 22-TDs running and throwing. Oh yeah, he sports a 3.7-GPAs. This is a guy who looks very recruitable to us, particularly if your program has a tough admission’s committee to by-pass.
