Hayes Preston had a tremendous freshman campaign. What we believe he will do as a sophomore will astound all but the most astute of high school fans. His name is Montavin Quisenberry and around KPGFootball he is just called “Q.” We believe he may be the best freshman football player in all of Kentucky particularly among the skills. Here are five (5) freshmen we believe will play this coming year. Some of these guys play for lower level teams which routinely challenge for titles at the respective classifications and others play for teams playing in large classifications where freshmen rarely see Friday Night action. We have been featuring some ’25’s we call “No Doubters” around the magazine. A “No Doubter” is a kid sure to get plenty of PT as a frosh on Friday night and a kid we know we will be featuring plenty over the course of the kid’s high school football career. It is one of the most controversial things we do all year. It is the publishing of the MS All-State Team. Today, we are publishing the Offense and will publish the Defense tomorrow. This team was selected from the nominations of our subscribers. Hey, membership has certain privileges, don’t know what to tell you. HB.
Hayes Preston didn’t make the Team Kentucky Future Stars-6th grade team but was an alternate. We know what Hayes can do and we still believe him to be among the very best football players in Kentucky in his graduating class. We can say this because look at everything else he has done. Not everyone in football thrives in shorts and shirts running around cones. Some people need to pad-up and thud-up for the evaluator to get a complete and accurate look at what the kid can do as a football player. We think our buddy, Ricco Hughes, missed one here. We miss on far more guys than he does. Nobody’s perfect, though he is pretty close.
