Five of our KPGFootball All-Staters were awarded certificates last night (with Jaylen Turner not pictured) by the Breathitt County Board of Education. Congratulations boys and thanks to the BOE for recognizing their considerable achievement. HB.
Here is the KPGFootball Freshman All-State offense. The selection committee is still working on the other side of the football and the sophomore team. We decided to go ahead and drop the units piece-meal. We know there are people wanting to see this. You had to be a subscriber to nominate. Membership has certain privileges.
This is part one of a two part series we are calling the “Freshman Fifteen.” These aren’t necessarily the best fifteen football players or prospects in Kentucky but they are fifteen players we believe most likely to play before the 2019 season is over in the varsity lineup. Some will play because the team has specific need where they are slotted and some will play because they are just that good. One of the big advantages the commonwealth of Kentucky has in the Kentucky-Tennessee Future Stars Classic over its Tennessee counterparts is our ability to mine the coalfields up in Eastern Kentucky for rugged, tough, and often huge linemen. Evan Miller is such a specimen. This kid is 6-2, 305-pounds now and judging by what he did to the size 17 cleats he brought to the Somerset combine, he’s only just begun to grow.
