The epic poets, Hómēros, who you probably know as “Homer,” wrote some poems in the eighth century BC. These chronicled the struggles of mortal men when antagonizing, or being antagonized by, the Gods, of whom there were pantheon. We have a story for you today about a young man in Glasgow, Kentucky who may be built simmerly to Achilles, but who is just a mortal guy learning the football craft.
