Destin Cheirs, when last we heard, was going to attend Murray State and try his hand at Ohio Valley Conference Football. Well, it would appear he will aim his sights a bit higher. Cheirs has the opportunity to “bet on himself” and attempt to make the Louisville Cardinals football team which competes at the FBS, Power-5 level (ACC). In the end, it was too good of an opportunity to not risk it. Marquezz Hightower is following in some mighty large footsteps. He had a relative who was an all-state football player for Madisonville North-Hopkins, led Kentucky in rushing yards his senior year, was a Kentucky Future Star MVP (like Marquezz), and went on to play for EKU.
