The Barber of Bowling Green! Is he headed for a ‘Mr. Football?’ @BarberTrevy, @PurplesFootball, @CoachSpader, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball

Figaro, the Barber of Seville, sings in the song, “Largo al factotum” that he has a role as the tows “factotum;” meaning Figaro does everything and is constantly in demand. Kind of sounds like Trevy Barber, the Barber of Bowling Green Senior High doesn’t it? Barber has a tremendous junior year where he led Bowling Green to another 5A championship catching 79-balls, for 22-TDs, housing a kick, and playing some defense while leading the team in scoring 9.2-points per in its fifteen (15) games played. What’s there left to do? Well, we believe this guy is a solid choice and frontrunner for the coveted “Mr. Football” award upcoming. If you were to bet on him, right now, to win that award it would be a solid wager. Enjoy this feature.

KPGFootball’s Preseason Top-Five (5A) @bigassfans, @minguabeefjerky, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

It is that time of year. It is time to start figuring which teams, entering the ’25 season, figure to factor in the title chase. We have detailed what we think here and it is based on our study of the incoming, ’25 rosters, what players return, what players graduated, and other various factors we have perfected through the years to render such predictions. We plan to do this for all of Kentucky’s six (6) classifications and there is no guarantee we will go in order from the top down, or the bottom to the top. There are good football teams in the KHSAA and there are bad ones and those teams span all of the six classes. Enjoy today’s look at 5A. Keep checking back as we may drop another class any time we feel like it.

Slow Motion Replay: Dan Haley had the Midas Touch! @pths_football, @bryanstationfb, @PurplesFootball, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans

Dan Haley finished his career with an overall record of 253-79-3 with stints as the head football coach at Bryan Station in Lexington, Paducah Tilghman, and Bowling Green Senior High. Haley did something else rather singular, he took every program he ever coached to the title game, winning titles in ’73 at Tilghman and ’95 at Bowling Green. His ’95 title likely stands alone as he won that title over Fort Thomas Highlands, and its enigmatic and brilliant head coaching legend, Dale Mueller (28-12). Haley won four COY’s in four (4) different decades and was enshrined in the Dawahares, KHSAA Hall of Fame in 2007. Enjoy this look at one of the finest coaches the sport has known, a guy with a real “Midas Touch.”

Ethan Warder from Bowling Green Senior High is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week @EthanWarder2 @CentreFootball @CoachSpader @KyHighFootball @minguabeefjerky

Ethan Warder is a prospect the Centre Colonels, among many other programs, is pursuing mightily. Warder fills the stat sheets with statistics which turn around football games. We will be very surprised if the Purples don’t repeat in ’25 as 5A title holders. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to get by your local Independence Bank and discover why and how our people, financial products, and services have started a revolution in the Kentucky banking industry. Zach Jordan using his length and great feet to create outside running lanes and protect his QB… @ZachJordan2026 @BgBadBoyz @PurplesFootball @KyHighFootball @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @840WHAS

Zach Jordan is among the most impressive OL in Kentucky in the ’26 graduating class. He has a long, thin frame which can easily add bulk without impacting his movement. He played all year along a front which facilitated one of Kentucky’s premier offensive attacks. This guy has a championship ring on his finger right now. Who knows what the future holds?
