Well, scrimmages are in full swing. This time last year, a 4A team I had predicted would struggle tied a 5A power in a scrimmage which made the 4A coach scream all over social media that I was a complete idiot. The 4A team went 1-9, the 5A team challenged for the title at its level of play. Obviously, that scrimmage was meaningless. Well, Friday night Johnson’s Apollo squad pasted Logan County, at 4A team usually in the hunt. What does it mean? Does it mean anything? We’ll discuss. Friday Night Fletch.

This week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week is Jamison Brown from Owensboro’s Apollo High. The ’25 linebacker is fast becoming one of the more talked about, 2nd-level defenders in Kentucky’s south-central/western end. He seems to have drawn considerable D-1 interest particularly for a kid transitioning from 10th to 11th-grade. Enjoy the feature. FL.

Brady Atwell from Owensboro’s Catholic High School is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week. @1776Bank @HLpreps @OCath_Football @BreathittFB @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @PrepSpin @MaxPreps

Brady Atwell has been called the QB prospect with the highest ceiling starting under center for the Aces in a long, long time. Scary thing is, he may be a better prospect at LBer according to one of his coaches. Enjoy this feature about a sophomore QB who appears capable of doing it all and who also seems assured of being on a ton of recruiting boards going forward. @harold_hogg (Harold Patterson II) from @AHSEagleNation (Owensboro Apollo) is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

Harold Patterson’s Eagles really struggled in the opener against the Red Devils from Owensboro High School. Not many teams invade Red Devil Stadium and come away looking too good. The Eagles really need to rebound tonight when Meade County’s “Green Wave” come crashing into Apollo’s shore looking for high tide. Coach Edge’s Eagles will need another performance like Patterson turned in against Owensboro (Senior) High to have a chance to emerge victorious.
