I got a call one time from a kid who had signed with Princeton. Princeton, like Brown, is an Ivy League school, or the elite of the elite as this country has historically thought of the Ivy League. Well anyway this kid was voicing some displeasure about Princeton’s having a bad season. My response…”Are you kidding me, son? You’re going to Princeton. Who cares if you go 0-40 while there? You’re still getting a degree from Princeton.” You get the point. Football is a tool to a better life if you’re smart about it.
