’26 LB had the type sophomore season we predicted
Very few times do you get to crow about nailing a prediction. Well, we will be doing some crowing. We published an article about this prospect in July of 2023, shortly before the season was set to commence, entitled “Kamran Harrison ‘Can Run’ with the Big Dogs.” Yeah, we thought the title was clever. We predicted the sophomore, who had performed admirably in limited freshman season run, would see his production increase significantly. We were right. This guy needs to be a leader in ’24. We believe he will be. Let’s see if we’re on the money a second time.

Those Harrisons can flat-out ball. We know Konner is among the best players on the western-end of Kentucky but not as many people realize the prowess of little brother.
Kamran Harrison had a very solid freshman season getting varsity action in ’22. He played in five games, registered 16-tackles and half a sack.
We believed Harrison would be more impactful in ’23 as a sophomore. Chalk that production up to being “on the money.”
Kamran registered 55-tackles over the course of his sophomore season in nine (9) games. In addition, Harrison had a TFL, a QB-sack, and a FF.
Harrison, who doubles as a WR, got some offensive targets too. Harrison caught a 22-yard, TD-pass to go along with rather prodigious defensive production.

Now we talked with an outgoing senior who preferred to remain anonymous about who would be some of the stars for the Storm’s program in ’24. This guy specifically singled out Kamran Harrison.
His exact quote to us was, “Kamran Harrison will be great at the LB slot next year.” Sometimes the guys in the trenches are in a superior position to witness the events than those of us on the sidelines.
We look for Harrison to be a leader on the defensive unit over the course of his junior campaign. We wouldn’t be surprised to see his offensive role gain in definition and importance as he continues to progress.
Harrison is a guy who is a prominent performer on the powerlifting team. Harrison and his Storm Powerlifting Team will get opportunities to continue its championship form from last season.
Harrison is a versatile athlete with plus strength, power, and explosion. Predicting Harrison’s performing at an elite level certainly wouldn’t require an Edgar Cayce nor Nostradamus, now would it?
