Nick Coates from Louisville Male is this Week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

This week's Independence Bank's Revolutionary Player of the Week is...

Once again it is the first of the week, which means it is time to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry. Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded both the Louisville Male High School’s and the Louisville community’s expectations. We are focusing on a 2021 WR/CB who didn’t get a bunch of varsity run this year at Male, being only a freshman, but someone who we believe is sure to see the field a bunch next season. For the Freshman team at Male, Coates both strove for and achieved excellence every single day he walked on either a practice or playing field. That player is Class of 2021, WR/CB, Nick Coates from Louisville, Kentucky.

Coates, No. 4, plays CB as well as WR

What do you do with a 5’9″ 155 pound WR/CB that we, who are knowledgable in football circles within the Commonwealth, have nicknamed Nick The Jet Coates? Well at Independence Bank we recognize him for his prowess and accomplishments. I mean, Nick is fast, getting clocked in middle school at the East-West Kentucky All-State Classic at 4.89 in the 40. Nick is athletic as he competed on Barrett Middle School’s Track & Field Team and finishing 6th in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the Long Jump with a leap of 18.77 feet when an 8th grader. What may even be more important is that Nick has a great attitude, being described by one of his coaches at Barrett Middle School, Monty Bross, as having the best attitude Bross has ever seen. Monty, interviewed last year about Coates said, He never complains, EVER! Super fast runner…I believe with all my heart that he is THE most underrated player in the 2021 class.

Congratulations to Nick The Jet Coates for his Revolutionary Play which has earned this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank. Kentucky Prep Gridiron thanks Coach Monty Bross for his contributions to this article.
