KPGFootball is thrilled to announce it’s All-State Football combine for the Mountains has been set for June 23, 2018 to occur at Phelps High School’s football stadium located on the campus at 1150 Hwy 632, Phelps, Kentucky 41553. Coach Dave Jones at Phelps High School will be the Combine Director and his staff of premier area football coaches will set up an NFL style timing and testing combine. The purpose of this combine is to identify worthy rising 8th, 9th, and 10th grade football players who test their way on the KPGFootball Middle-School, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Grade All-State Football teams. Players from the region who do not test will NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR 8th, 9th, and 10th grade ALL-STATE TEAM CONSIDERATION.
The following will be the All-State Football Combine testing…
7:00 a.m. Registration
8:00 a.m. Combine
Participants will wear shirt, shorts, and cleats. The participants will run timed forty yard dashes, timed pro-agility shuttles (5-10-5), timed L-drills, measured broad jumps and verticals. High School athletes will be tested in the bench press at the high school combine bench rep weight of 185 lbs.; middle schooler’s will test at 115 lbs.
The athletes will then perform positional drills with their respective position coaches and we will end the combine with one on ones between different position groups and 7 on 7 work matching WRs and RBs against DBs and LBs. The staff will pick MVP’s for each position group and all players participating go into the Official KPGFootball All-State Football Watch List for team consideration after the upcoming season!
Email the camp director, Coach Dave Jones at David.jones@pike.kyschools.us, to register your player for this event and include his name, height, weight, 2018 Fall-term class (i.e. 8th grade, 9th grade, or 10th grade), school he will attend, email address, primary position and secondary position (i.e. QB/DB).
The Fee will be $50.00 paid in cash the day of the event!
