Seneca Driver has his Rebels in the “Driver’s Seat” for another 4A title
We have seen him listed from 6’6″ to 6’8.” We have seen his weight listed from 225-245. Regardless of where his measurements fall, Seneca Driver is a big, big boy. Scratch that, he is a grown man. Many people who make a living covering recruiting believe Seneca Driver to be Kentucky’s top rated prospect in any graduating class. Driver has nearly 40-FBS offers, is a composite, Four (4)-Star rated prospect and is ranked the 77th top prospect in America’s ’27 class and the 5th-highest rated TE. Driver has his Rebels headed for a Regional Championship game sitting 11-1, the winners of nine straight, with its last “L” coming way back on September 5 in Lexington to Catholic High. If you’re waiting on them to drop another game, you may be waiting quite a while.

Danville, KY: Seneca Driver is a physical specimen. That is one reason the 6’7,” 245-pound, two-way edge presence is the odd-ons favorite to win “Mr. Football” next year and to make the definitive All-State teams upcoming at year’s end.
Driver’s measurements, even the seemingly insignificant ones, are huge. For instance, Driver has an 80-inch wingspan. Drive has 10” hands. Driver runs the 40 in 4.66-seconds and shuttles in 4.5-seconds. Heck, Driver even has a broad jump of closing in on ten feet (9’9″).
There is a rumor the jumbo athlete stuck the landing on a back flip in practice earlier in the year just for giggles (because he wanted to try it). That is called being a framed-out athlete. The Big Boys are looking for those. Those don’t grow on trees in this commonwealth or any other nearby state.
Driver had a big night in round two. Against Wayne County, a team which previously eliminated Coach Haddix from the playoffs years ago when he was at Corbin, Driver plucked seven (7) receptions for 102-yards. In addition to that, Seneca, on defense, registered both a TFL and an INT.
These numbers are in line with what he has done this year. For the season, Driver has caught 44-passes for 775-yards and 8-TDs. Driver has scored 60-points with 8-TDs receiving and a pair of pick-sixes.
On defense, Driver has registered 48-tackles, 8-TFLs, a sack and 5-INTs. Between the five picks, Driver has accumulated 97-IRNYs, two of which he took to the house.
If you look at his sophomore numbers (24-receptions for 353-yards and seven (7) TDs, scoring 50 points and registering 36-tackles, seven (7) TFLs, a pair of sacks, and a forced fumble), you will see Driver has continued to make considerable strides in his on-field performance. Driver isn’t a finished product. Driver has PLENTY of growth potential left.
As great as [Seneca] Driver is, he has plenty of growth potential left

That is a scary point. As great as Driver undoubtedly is, the 6’7,” 245-pound TE/DE who has been offered by Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Louisville, Duke, and many, many more may not be playing his “best football,” at least not yet.

For now, Boyle County looks to be playing its best football at the right time of year. You know, Coach Haddix and the entire Boyle County program is pretty good at climaxing its on-field performance right when it is most needed.
There are some tough challenges out there. Paducah Tilghman is the defending champion and there are other 4A’s out there, like Franklin County and Highlands, looking mighty tough as we come down the home stretch.
Of course Boyle County has something these other teams don’t. They have a man-child playing both ways for them who is long, tall, explosive, “twitchy,” and among the nation’s very best on both sides of the scrimmage line. Basically, they have a Seneca Driver where the others don’t.
I would say that puts the Rebels in the Driver’s seat for this ’25, 4A race. Wouldn’t you?
