Emilio Arispe, a MLB from Madisonville North-Hopkins, is this week’s Independence Bank, Revolutionary POW…

This Week's Revolutionary Player of the Week (POW) is...

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry. Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance both has and continues to exceed both the Maroons’ and the Hopkins County community’s expectations. We are focusing on the class of 2019, MLB, Emilio Arispe, from Madisonville, Kentucky, whose North-Hopkins High School is right down the road from the Independence Bank branches located on 1776 North Main Street and 629 East Center Street both in Madisonville, Kentucky.

There is a lot of star power littering the roster at Madisonville North-Hopkins. To say the Maroons were a tough out this year would be grossly understated. Ask the Class 4A, State Football Champions, Franklin-Simpson Wildcats what they thought of the Madisonville football team and they would likely tell you the color Maroon makes them a bit ill. After all, but for an interception at the end of the game with Madisonville driving toward the victory, it may well have been Coach Burgett’s Maroons battling Johnson Central in Lexington, Kentucky instead of the boys from Simpson County. Regardless, Madisonville had a fantastic year, just as KPGFootball forecast for the team back in the pre-season.

There is a lot of star power on the roster, from Jordan Vaughn, to Blake Moody, to Jeriah Hightower, to Aaron Miller, to Dru Flener, all of whom have, themselves, before been featured and awarded this particular distinction from Independence Bank. Every so often we get around to awarding this to a player of whom our just now awarding the distinction is somewhat embarrassing. Probably should have awarded Player of the Week honors to Emilio Arispe way before now. Oh well, better late than never.

Arispe is a senior (Class of 2019) middle linebacker who was all over the field for the Maroons in 2018. As a matter of fact, he was the 14th leading tackler in all of the 4A classification in the entire Commonwealth. However, to KPGFootball and to Independence Bank, his 113 tackles, while impressive, don’t even begin to tell the whole tale. Arispe had 71 solo tackles from his MLB slot, collected 2 TFLs, 5 QB sacks, and forced two fumbles. Perhaps most impressive is his doing this while playing in only 12 of Madisonville’s 13 football games. Madisonville North-Hopkins enjoyed one of its finer seasons, this past year, going 10-3 and finishing Regional Runner-up in a Region which contributes a Final’s participant, seemingly yearly, and the champion the past two seasons. Lots of fine players return, but the Maroons will miss Emilio Arispe next year. On that, both Independence Bank and KPGFootball are quite certain.

Congratulations to Emilio Arispe from the Madisonville North-Hopkins Maroons in Madisonville, Kentucky for his Revolutionary Play which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
