So you can’t remember the last time Ft. Knox was a contender in 1A football? Remember the late Joe Jaggers? Coach Jaggers was at the helm for 14-years and won three (3) of his five (5) titles at the school between 1977-1990. His name is William Carrico. His nickname is Tutt. We don’t know from where Tutt came but are sure it is one whale of a story. This week we feature a kid who was pressed into duty a year ago and, under the circumstances, performed admirably. Isaac Earl is much more of a known commodity entering the sophomore year playing for a staff which consistently develops very good QB’s. What will Earl do this coming year? Coach Manning really had that South Hopkins football program humming. How much you ask? Well, they aren’t but a few years removed from playing for a KYMSFA state championship. College players need to hit the lineup by their sophomore years in HS. We have discussed this many, many times and that seems to be true regardless the quality of the program or its level of play. We believe McDaniel is a future college football player. He was in the lineup in ’22 and productive. To quote BTO (Bachman-Turner Overdrive), “You ain’t seen nothing yet…”
