Kamran Harrison is a “Harrison.” There are those of you who have followed this program for many years who will not need the first statement explained. Kamran is a kid who was expected to do big things last season, and was doing big things, until injury derailed his season. Having him return to the lineup fully healthy makes the Storm a better ball club. The Storm don’t get players as good as Kam Harrison everyday. When the program gets a Kam Harrison, it is important to make it count. Enjoy this edition of Storm Warning.

There is a question around Madisonville concerning which commitment is his first ranking commitment between football and baseball. You see, Ryder Sandidge is a bone fide star in both sports. The simple answer is he is a college prospect in either sport and he shouldn’t have to choose in high school. Here is the bottom line, this kid is a three phase weapon in football who makes his team better by trotting out onto the field. At the end of the day, isn’t that really all we need to know?

If you want to talk about a team on the rise, a team on a heater, may we suggest you buy Garrard County now before the price climbs too high. Spencer Crutchfield has come into the Lancaster, Kentucky and built the programs into quite a formidable one. Adding the games preeminent defensive coordinator in Jeff Hester certainly didn’t hurt. Now the Golden Lions have to develop the roster talent and get it deployed. One guy who should help going forward is rising senior Dalton Flannery. We like his frame, we like his athletic skill set, we love his demeanor and aggression. It is time to get on the field and get it done. Can’t wait to monitor this situation as we go along. We almost never know what to make of transfers. It seems, more and more, teams are picking up transfers and it becomes difficult to track. Our policy has always been not to comment on transfers until the young men have been cleared to play. Well, the Hazard Bulldogs picked up three huge transfers and all three have been cleared for play. What does it all mean. Hazard already boasts one of the finest and more talented rosters in the KHSAA 1A classification. Well, we think it means Hazard may be even better than we predicted in June. Enjoy the article.
