We are very pleased to welcome Lasaters Coffee & Tea to our growing family of advertisers. The Kelley family has a very long history in the local football industry and several of the Kelleys have had their numbers retired owing to their familial history of playing excellence. Football has been very good to their family and they look for ways to give back to this very special community. Lasaters is a place one goes to get caffeinated and motivated and couldn’t we all use a bit more of that invigoration in our daily routines. Get by one (1) of our four (4) Christian County, Kentucky locations and enjoy the roasted flavor of a hot cup of warmth and love.

The Murray High Tigers have transformed under Head Coach Melvin Cunningham into a real Western Kentucky terror regardless of how large (or small) of an enrollment he may have at his disposal. The 3A juggernaut has just outlasted posted a 56-0 over Webster County and barely broke a sweat running its record to 7-0 heading into the bye-week. Amarion Bomar (’26) averaged over 25-yards a carry Friday night and house 50% of his opportunities. Couple his offense with what he has done this season out of the backfield on passing “check-downs” and defensively and you have quite a weapon. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.

Madisonville rides balanced offensive attack to 7-0 record, takes next week off before critical closing stretch (Apollo, Owensboro Senior High, Warren Central)

We had a ton of Thursday Night action, so much that I published some “Thursday Night Picks” which I rarely do. I turned in a 12-1 on the night, perhaps I should change my name to “Thursday Night Fletch.” Just kidding. Madisonville ran its record to 7-0 for the first time since 1983 and Fort Campbell got its game with Trigg County rescheduled which was the right thing for Trigg to do as we can’t hold the kids at Fort Campbell accountable for a governmental shutdown. Hopefully, the gridlock will have been resolved by Halloween or thereabouts. Enjoy this look at the Madisonville-North Hopkins/Muhlenberg County game in this feature.

This is a special edition of our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator series. Keshawn Dixon, a senior RB/LB at 2A, Fort Campbell High, is posting some incredible numbers in this, his senior year. Unfortunately, this doesn’t stop the federal government shut down from shutting down his team, his coaches, his teammates, and his assault on the KHSAA statistical website among 2A and KHSAA players. We need to find some way to come together and end the gridlock. That is as close to a political statement as you will ever get from us. If we wanted to talk politics, we would cover it. Enjoy this look at Keshawn Dixon, our Big Ass Fans, Kentucky Comfort Creator!

The Murray High Tigers have transformed under Head Coach Melvin Cunningham into a real Western Kentucky terror regardless of how large of an enrollment you may have at your disposal. The 3A juggernaut has just outlasted a 59-56 game against McCracken County and one of Kentucky’s more explosive offensive ball clubs. Wyatt Robbins (’26) is putting up “Gameboy” type numbers this season and Friday night was no different. His efforts, and the efforts of his teammates, have the Tigers sitting at 6-0 with four “winnable” games ahead. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.

We thought we would head on over to the Derby City and catch up with one of our favorite RBs on one of our favorite teams. Parker Rudolph (’26) is a RB prospect who has the speed, power, and explosion (twitch) to play free or strong safety at the next level too. He can return kicks, punts, work the slot catching the ball, and use his backend separation speed and spacial quicks to gain a ton of after contact yardage. At Big Ass Fans, we reach out and impact all parts of Kentucky, large or small, wherever we are needed. Parker Rudolph is having a fine season particularly for a 1A RB on an undefeated, contending football team, so we thought we would honor him today. In the world of Kentucky high school football, a world about which we are undoubtedly familiar, the Trinity/St. Xavier game is often referred to as “The Game.” It is so big neither on campus stadium is viewed as sufficient to host the event. This is why it gets annually played at the stadium which hosts University of Louisville football games instead. This year neither team has lost a game to a Kentucky high school. That changes this weekend. We have taken a deep dive into the matchup, done our homework/research, and have forecast a winner. Let’s see how closely we get this or if we miss altogether. Enjoy the look at a “Bucket List” type event and game.

Very quietly, almost without notice, Coby Lewis, in his first season at the helm of the Lakers, is turning in a whale of a season and turning a lot of heads around the commonwealth in coaching circles. He has “The Lakers” out to a 4-1 start, the best start it started the 2016 season with a 6-1 record and one of Western Kentucky’s great defensive units. This week’s Player of the Week, Logan Smith, enjoyed just a spectacular game, but then again, he has been doing things like this his entire Laker career. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.

Thursday night (September 11, 2025) the Maroons from Madisonville North Hopkins found themselves facing judgement day. What else can a team term facing the defending KHSAA football champion, 4A’s top ranked team, and Kentucky’s 8th best football team regardless of enrollment or classification. The “Mops on Top” made for themselves the best case it could and Markezz Hightower rested his case for Mr. Football. All that is left now is to await the jury’s return and report of its verdict. Enjoy this feature on what was a magical and special evening on the campus of Madisonville North Hopkins High School.
