We are very pleased to welcome Lasaters Coffee & Tea to our growing family of advertisers. The Kelley family has a very long history in the local football industry and several of the Kelleys have had their numbers retired owing to their familial history of playing excellence. Football has been very good to their family and they look for ways to give back to this very special community. Lasaters is a place one goes to get caffeinated and motivated and couldn’t we all use a bit more of that invigoration in our daily routines. Get by one (1) of our four (4) Christian County, Kentucky locations and enjoy the roasted flavor of a hot cup of warmth and love.

We identified John Luke Minner as one of the best LBs in the KHSAA in 2024. That is why he made first team All-State on our Big Ass Fan’s Small School team. Coming into ’25 he figures to be on the list again provided he performs commensurate to how he performed a year ago. He has committed to play collegiately at Brown University in the Ivy Leagues. That is a Division I ride to one of the country’s most prestigious schools. If catching a ride to the Ivy Leagues isn’t prize worthy, we aren’t sure we know what is. Enjoy this feature and let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky, while you allow us to help out in that regard.

Calling the Hogs: Hightower’s run toward ‘Mr. Football’ will start where they all do…upfront @markezz_25, @BlueGreyFB, @All_American_Me, @Maroon_FB_MNHHS, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

North Hopkins is big, fast, mobile, strong, powerful, and explosive all over the field on both sides of the scrimmage line. This is especially true upfront offensively. “The Bigs” don’t ever get enough credit in our humble opinion. Credit or no credit, North figures to have a RB in the thick of a “Mr. Football” race in 2025. To get there, or to get where the team wants to go, the Maroons will rely heavily (pardon the pun) on the five or six guys upfront. Enjoy this feature.

John Luke Minner, the KHSAA’s ‘premier edge rusher,’ has committed to the Ivy League and Brown University @john_minner13, @ChadPennington, @lexsayrefb, @KYHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans

I got a call one time from a kid who had signed with Princeton. Princeton, like Brown, is an Ivy League school, or the elite of the elite as this country has historically thought of the Ivy League. Well anyway this kid was voicing some displeasure about Princeton’s having a bad season. My response…”Are you kidding me, son? You’re going to Princeton. Who cares if you go 0-40 while there? You’re still getting a degree from Princeton.” You get the point. Football is a tool to a better life if you’re smart about it. Enjoy this feature about Kentucky’s most lethal edge threat and how he has scored a major win.

We believe the Maroons look poised to have a wonderful season. They have one of the best TEs in the game in Jayden Travis. They have some all-state types like Travion Stafford and Kirk LaGrange. They have some “young guns” like Kaden Price and Ryder Sandidge. Having a “Mr. Football” candidate at RB doesn’t hurt. Enjoy this feature on a kid very deserving of some of the world’s finest beef jerky products and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor out there in Madisonville, KY.

Markezz Hightower, they always call him ‘Mr. Touchdown;’ soon, they may call him ‘Mr. Football’ @markezz_25, @BlueGreyFB, @All_American_Me, @Maroon_FB_MNHHS, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee, @khassfootball, @KyHighFootball

Markezz Hightower maybe this season’s Cortez Stone (Central High, Lou., ’25). What do we mean? We mean Hightower might be Kentucky’s elite RB in the commonwealth at any classification of competition. Hightower is 5’10,” 185-pounds who clips off the 40 in the 4.5 range with a vertical (35-inches) that collaborates the running time. Hightower clips off the 100-meters in 11-seconds, squats 450, deadlifts 515, and cleans 230. He may be Mr. Football, or so we think anyway. Enjoy this feature on a kid who we support for “Mr. Football” and who should be in the thick of the race all season long provided he continues to produce at a similar clip to his first three seasons.

KPGFootball’s preseason, top-teams in each classification @LasatersCoffee, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

July 13, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

We went around and evaluated each classification and determined, preseason, just who we thought the teams to beat were in each. We studied rosters, coaching staffs, considered transfers, and looked at personnel at all three phases of the game. We believe these teams, in these six linked articles, are the contenders. Just take your little “clicky-thing” and point it at one of the classifications and double-click to the article.

Chase Bell (’28 QB) from South Warren is this week’s Kentucky Comfort Creator from @bigassfans @minguabeefjerky, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball, @SouthWarrenFB, @IamChaseBell15

July 11, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Chase Bell and Camden Page look to battle it out preseason for the QB-slot at South Warren vacated by Bryce Button’s graduation. South Warren is coming off a 12-2 season where it was arguably the second best team in 5A in ’24. Where will they figure into the 6A title chase? Well, we don’t know. We would suppose they will go as far as either Page or Bell carries them. Chase Bell is a ’28 guy with an incredible frame and athleticism so impressive Maryland has already offered. Bell’s frame and growth potential are carrying the day for him as he is our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator this week. Let’s keep it cool out there KY.

Slow Motion Replay: Well, that’s a Peach…Mark Peach proved his worth over his many years of service @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @LC_Patriots, @TravAtwell

June 23, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Mark Peach is a high school coach who has met with considerable success along his career path. We have Peach with around 166-wins against 97-losses. We have him winning his region four (4) times and appearing in the state championship game twice, once at Hancock County in 1A (1999) and a second time at Anderson County in 5A (2011). Peach’s teams enjoyed a pair of undefeated regular seasons over his tenure. In addition, Peach developed and promoted a player, in Travis Atwell, into the coveted “Mr. Football” award and an appearance in the 1A title game after turning in a 12-3 mark and losing to Beechwood for the title. Enjoy this feature about Mark Peach, a fine football coach.
