Lane Brock, from Franklin County High, is our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator Weekly Feature @Lane2Brock, @FCFlyerFootball, @DennyDledford, @Teagan_Crowdus, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom

Lane Brock was a guy we could have put on the Big Ass Fans, Large School All-State Football team as easily as we missed him. Brock plays for one of 4A’s premier programs and one of the KHSAA’s best head football coaches (Eddie James). This is a kid who is a star right now, coming out as a freshman and making close to 100-tackles. When he learns to play more “down hill” there is no telling to how great he may end up being. It is hard to tell for sure about young guys but this guy here is a next level talent and we don’t mind going on the record with that RIGHT NOW! Enjoy the feature.

Phillip Baker, Jr., QB from Central High (Lou.) is the Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @CHSJacketFB, @JrPhillip19269, @BOTMWCombine, @1_McKay_2, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom

Central High has quite the football tradition. From William Keane to Ty Scroggins to Marvin Dantzler, the Yellow Jackets are seemingly always in the title hunt in 3A, KHSAA football. The Jackets had a down year in ’25 and Dantzler decided to move along (volitionally) and now Coach McKay gets his turn in the batter’s box and at the helm of one of Kentucky’s more athletic rosters. Having a QB returning who is steady, athletic, and super smart (like Phillip Baker, Jr.) should prove a huge boon. Baker is a guy who figures to play either in the slot, as a return specialist, or even as a DB at the collegiate level. For now, this Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator has to lead his mates back to the program’s customary position challenging for the 3A, Kentucky-wide, crown. Enjoy the feature.

Mason Trimble did a ton of stuff in 2025. He was ranked a top-5 Kentucky QB by nearly every national publication which publishes such rankings, he made our large school all-state football team, he led his team to 10-wins, threw for over 2,000-yards, around 26-TDs, ran for another 8-scores and did all of this against the hardest schedule played by any KHSAA football team at any level of competition. Now, in ’26, he has pledged himself to Kentucky’s most prestigious, liberal arts, small college football program. However, there is nothing small about being a Centre Man. Enjoy the feature and let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky!

We heard a player described by a coach who had offered him as a “Football Playing Jesse.” We looked that term up and, what do you know, it really is a thing. A “Football Playing Jesse” is a guy who may not be the right frame, may be a tad small, or a tad slow, or whatever but is just a guy who “does it” when he gets o the field between the lines and under the lights. Today we feature a kid who is as Football Playing of a Jesse as any kid in the KHSAA. Enjoy this look at one of the best football players the commonwealth of Kentucky has competition at any level of competition.

I once heard having an accomplished place kicker in the fold likened to finding a $20.00 bill in your dry cleaning. You may not know you even need $20.00 but it comes in handy when you are both hungry and thirsty and you find what you need just sitting in your pocket. Jayleigh Campbell is not just an accomplished placekicker who converted just over 81% of her PATs (9 for 11) but she is a a junior who should compete for the job at the newly consolidated high school. It must be something to realize your kicking game is so competently handled and looks to remain so for the foreseeable future. Congratulations to Jayleigh Campbell for being our ‘Wake Up and Smell the Coffee (or Tea)’ Player of the Week from Lasaters Coffee & Tea where you are more than served, you are loved!

Kellan Hall from Christian Academy-Louisville is a five (5) star prospect in several different ways @KellanHbigdawg, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @THunterCantwell, @centurions_fb

It happens every year. Every year we have some players we omit from our All-State football team we shouldn’t have. No one is perfect. Hall is a guy who has an enviable frame and works, offseason, with an outfit which knows plenty about getting kids prepared to star at the collegiate level. Kellan Hall is one of the better framed out kids at his position in KY and already being touted among the commonwealth’s very best at his position. Get this, he also plays for one of the commonwealth’s very best teams with some of its deepest reservoir of playing talent. Enjoy the feature and let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky!

TE Seneca Driver from Boyle County FB is the @bigassfans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @bigassfans, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball, @SenecaDriver, @BCRebelFootball, @LemmingReport, @CoachHaddix11

Boyle County, together with the titles won by cross town Danville High, have earned the nickname “Title Town.” Boyle has 13-titles, having just won Justin Haddix’s fifth (5th) title over the previous six (6) seasons. Players like Seneca Driver have much to do with the success. Haddix and his staff seem to regularly produce football playing talent like Driver. Montavin “Q” Quisenberry won “Mr. Football” just a few years ago and Seneca Driver has to be considered an early favorite for that, and many other, awards entering 2026. Enjoy this look at one of the best football players the commonwealth of Kentucky has produced over the last decade or so.

Splash Hire! Garry McPeek tabbed for Eminence High Head Football Coaching Job @EminenceFball, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @g_mcpeek, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom

December 26, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Not all hires are created equally. From our vantage point, and looking just at the numbers, the McPeek hire at Eminence High looks like a solid hire. Garry McPeek has a world of coaching experience, where he has experienced success and won championships from the Kentucky 1A all the way up to the professional ranks (Arena Football League). What are the chances he will fare well at Eminence High? We would be willing to wager on it and you know how conservative leaning we tend to be. Enjoy the article.

John Paul Carrico, ’28 OL from Owensboro Catholic, is the @bigassfans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @bigassfans @JohnPaulCarrico, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball, @SouthWarrenFB, @IamChaseBell15

November 28, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

You can’t coach height. You can’t coach length. There are measurements and characteristics or traits the Good Lord bequeaths you or doesn’t. Let’s just call John Paul Carrico amply blessed. Carrico is a ’28 lineman playing for an elite 2A program which seems yearly in the chase for a title. The Aces will entertain Beechwood’s Tigers and that is a tough draw for any team this late in November. Carrico is 6’8,” 295-pounds with an 80-inch reach and 35-inch arms. He also has anywhere from a 3.75 to a 4.0 GPA and his “dance card” is filling up fast. Camden Page, ’27 from South Warren, is the @bigassfans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @bigassfans @CamdenPage2027, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball, @SouthWarrenFB, @IamChaseBell15

November 21, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Ever heard of the catbird seat? It is called “sitting pretty” and that is exactly where Camden Page appears to have his South Warren Spartans sitting entering tonight’s regional championship game with Henderson County (6-6). Page is having a tremendous season and completing close to 73% of his passing attempts with a four to one, TDs to INTs ratio. We call that efficiency. The most important part of the equation is Page having his team sitting undefeated with the highest RPI in the 6A classification. Can the Spartans win a 6A title their first year in the classification? Well, Page has them in the “catbird seat,” that is for sure. Enjoy this serial article awarding the Big Ass Fans “Kentucky Comfort Creator” to his long, tall, lengthy, and athletic QB from south-central Kentucky.
