Bryce Button, a ’25 QB at South Warren in Bowling Green, KY, over the first seven (7) games of this ’23 season has been the very picture of Swiss-made precision. Last week he completed close to 80% of his passing attempts and threw for four (4) TD’s against 0-picks. Regardless of college potential, and he has his fair share, this kid is a dynamite high school football player. Every time Calil McNary gets a hand-off, the PA says, “McNary on the Carry.” Now, that is branding. Every time we see Central’s 6’2,” 240-pound FB we think, “McNary on the Carry.” When you see him around Hopkins County, try it! He broke several career marks in his fine career last Friday against Trigg County. His night against Trigg alone was jerky-worthy. Throw in the career marks, and it really isn’t close. Enjoy this feature and join us again next week when we recognize another outstanding athlete. Till then, pop some of Kentucky’s finest jerky products in your mouth and savor the flavor! #SavorTheFlavor! FL

We enjoy bringing you scouting reports on just whom The Storm is playing each Friday night. This week is a winnable game on the road over a Trigg County team which, much like The Storm, is a much better than its record would suggest. We believe The Storm will emerge victorious, but the game still has to be played. See you guys in Cadiz.

James Posey is one of the better linemen playing football around western Kentucky this season. Against McLean he was a one man wrecking crew both offensively and defensively. Enjoy this feature about a heart-breaking loss but a sign better days are ahead. FL.

We thought with everything the students and players at duPont Manual have been experiencing with Coach Donnie Stoner and his being indicted, someone on that football team could use a bolt of protein. Therefore, we nominated Gerian Traynor and the folks at Mingua Beef Jerky were please to oblige. Enjoy this feature and join us again next week when we recognize another outstanding athlete. Storm Report: Neither wins nor losses rank equally- @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @minguabeefjerky @HopkinsCentral @evans02_mike @840WHAS @sfitz_840whas

After last night’s 22-point loss to Union County, the remaining five games are games the Storm is capable of winning. It will take a Herculean effort to run the table (5-0) but we have the talent and ability to do just that. A 7-3 finish would put us in the number 2 slot in district 1 and assure us a couple home playoff games. This may be shaping up to be quite the year. FL.
