Cooper Mobley was a huge get for the Caldwell program when he came over from Pulaski County. “Coop” flourished this year for Caldwell and put together some numbers which are indicative of the kind of star he will mature into being. While a freshman, this young phenom was still able to lead his ball club in tackles while earning his team’s Defensive MVP and making the All-Conference team. We just attended the Nashville AA Bowl at Lipscomb Academy on the campus of David Lipscomb. North Laurel is sending signals of its coming on as a program with which to reckon in upcoming seasons. While finishing 6-6, the Jaguars showed glimpses like beating Johnson Central this past season, no easy feat for any team. This kid here has all the attributes one would want for the cornerstone of the offensive line either in high school or college. We have given this award to him before, but this degree of outstanding is worthy of recognition whether or not he has been before adorned. This is quite possibly the standard across Kentucky for interior offensive line play and particularly at the center slot in the ’24 class.
