Paducah Tilghman is loaded with athletes. With Kentucky’s top-rated Track & Field program, they are also loaded with speed. D.J. Wilson is one of the class of ’26’s top guys in the offensive backfield. Already a thousand yard rusher in his sophomore season, Paducah fans are excited about what this young man may develop into being. It is hard to imagine any one football player meaning as much to his team’s bottom line as Kelson McKinney did over the course of his high school career. McKinney was the team’s leading rusher, leading scorer, was a scoring threat on special teams and on defense where he was tied for the lead in “pick-sixes.” We are coming close to the end of our coverage for the Kentucky class of ’24 but we couldn’t leave the topic without an article about this guy. Tyson Martin from Horse Cave, Kentucky is an example of a growing trend across the Bluegrass of high school football stars making significant contributions in all three phases of a football game.
