’26 OL has the strength, power, and explosion to play at next level

Sawyer Hall is a name that you know if you truly follow the KHSAA. Hall has been a primetime performer since coming out of middle school among the more decorated players across Kentucky. Hall was a day one, night one, snap one starter for the Bobcats as a freshman and is a stalwart along the interior offensive front. Hall is a producer on the defensive line too. This is the type scrimmage line player on whose shoulders championships are built.

Sophomore Highlights

Jackson, KY: Migua Beef Jerky uses Enviro-Pac CHU-2000 equipment to cook its meat to USDA required levels for both moist or dry operation. Mingua Beef Jerky wants you to become one of its many satisfied customers by sampling its quality hand sliced, all natural beef jerky. We know you’ll love it and come back for more, again and again.

Ronnie Mingua began experimenting with making beef jerky back in the 1990s. He shared his efforts with neighbors and friends, soon realizing he had come up with something different and superior to all other beef jerkies on the market. From these humble beginnings, Mingua Beef Jerky got its start.

Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.

Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed Performer, Sawyer Hall, ’26 OL, from Breathitt High School in Jackson, Kentucky.

…[S]omething different and superior to all other beef jerkies…

KPGFootball on the quality of Mingua’s product

There are two interior guards in the mountains of Kentucky which stand out among the others. They are both physical specimen, both unnaturally strong, both exceedingly explosive, and they are both in the same graduating class.

One of the two is Belfry’s Bo Wolford, who we have before covered, here recently, many times. The other is Breathitt’s Sawyer Hall.

These two guards are the top two players at their position groups in all of the Appalachias. There is a firm argument to be made they are the best two guards playing football in the KHSAA presently.

Hall, like Wolford, is a freak of nature. Hall bench presses 360-pounds and squats 520. We don’t have video of the back squat, though we are sure we could come up with some, but we have provided the 360-pound bench press in one of the above links.

Linemen with the physical prowess of a Sawyer Hall don’t come along every day. Linemen who can move like Hall don’t come around every day. Lineman, like Hall, with 4.0 GPAs aren’t too common either.

Hall is 6’0,” and tips the scales at a well-put-together 290-pounds. Hall is thought of as an offensive lineman, but he did register a handful of tackles getting spot duty on the Bobcat defensive front a season ago.

If we are being honest, we would like to see more of Hall at nose guard or somewhere across the defense line in ’24. We are not sold on his not playing defense in college in the near future.

Breathitt, behind Hall and his line mates in ’23, ran for 2,049-yards and passed for another 1,611-yards, scoring 50-TDs combined

There is one thing about Hall on which we are quite sure. There is a level of Saturday competition for which Hall will prove a perfect fit. We aren’t sure exactly at what level but are confident he has the ability, drive, intelligence, and work ethic to make it work; wherever that level may be.

Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from the competition. Remember, our product is superior and one of a kind; just like Breathitt’s, Sawyer Hall.
