Last season we thought we were going to have to start calling them the “Heartbreak Wildcats” if things didn’t start trending differently. Trigg County dropped consecutive, one-point defeats to the toughest of competition under very strange and almost lightening-striking-ish type situations. Still, the play the team was getting from its then-sophomore/rising junior QB was extraordinary. Cade Scott was and still is a superlatively good, three sport, varsity athlete who excels at FB (QB), basketball (SG), and baseball (OF/LHP). He completed nearly 75% of his passing attempts and consistently put the offense in situations where it should and, often did, thrive.
