Central High has quite the football tradition. From William Keane to Ty Scroggins to Marvin Dantzler, the Yellow Jackets are seemingly always in the title hunt in 3A, KHSAA football. The Jackets had a down year in ’25 and Dantzler decided to move along (volitionally) and now Coach McKay gets his turn in the batter’s box and at the helm of one of Kentucky’s more athletic rosters. Having a QB returning who is steady, athletic, and super smart (like Phillip Baker, Jr.) should prove a huge boon. Baker is a guy who figures to play either in the slot, as a return specialist, or even as a DB at the collegiate level.
