We are very pleased to welcome Lasaters Coffee & Tea to our growing family of advertisers. The Kelley family has a very long history in the local football industry and several of the Kelleys have had their numbers retired owing to their familial history of playing excellence. Luke DeMoss is an unsung hero for the North Hopkins defense and one of the reasons the 5A team is 6-0 and contending for a title this season in the KHSAA. Today, his song is being sung. DeMoss is a nose guard who is also a championship caliber powerlifter and title holder from the heavyweight division at the Kentucky High School “Push-Pull (bench/deadlift) Championships.” DeMoss is also an incredibly hard guy to dig out of the A-gap and forces teams to double him up to get him out of there. The net result is…the Maroons are having a season for the ages. Enjoy this article about a special, young talent who has worked very hard to get where he is.

The Murray High Tigers have transformed under Head Coach Melvin Cunningham into a real Western Kentucky terror regardless of how large of an enrollment you may have at your disposal. The 3A juggernaut has just outlasted a 59-56 game against McCracken County and one of Kentucky’s more explosive offensive ball clubs. Wyatt Robbins (’26) is putting up “Gameboy” type numbers this season and Friday night was no different. His efforts, and the efforts of his teammates, have the Tigers sitting at 6-0 with four “winnable” games ahead. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.

We are approaching for most teams the fifth or sixth game of the year. District play either started last night or begins for most teams next Friday Night. Point is, it is getting serious. We believe Pikeville is right in the thick of the 1A race, their record (3-3) notwithstanding. The polls around the Bluegrass would indicate we aren’t the only ones. There is something which seems to have worked well all year that the Panthers need to continue (in our opinion). Get the ball to Mikey Hager! He won’t let you down, we certify that as a FACT. We thought we would head on over to the Derby City and catch up with one of our favorite RBs on one of our favorite teams. Parker Rudolph (’26) is a RB prospect who has the speed, power, and explosion (twitch) to play free or strong safety at the next level too. He can return kicks, punts, work the slot catching the ball, and use his backend separation speed and spacial quicks to gain a ton of after contact yardage. At Big Ass Fans, we reach out and impact all parts of Kentucky, large or small, wherever we are needed. Parker Rudolph is having a fine season particularly for a 1A RB on an undefeated, contending football team, so we thought we would honor him today. Storm Warning: Hopkins County Central lost a game to lightening, Mid-point Report Card, Russellville begins second half

Like we have done in prior seasons, now the games are finally here, we will take the last week’s action and break it down and then look at the road ahead. We got an unexpected off week when lightening precluded our playing Kentucky Country Day in a game which will not be rescheduled. We have a winnable game on the road tomorrow night against a team with tradition, second to none on this end of the commonwealth. Russellville High School is struggling this year (0-5) but this program played for the 1A title just a few short years ago (2021) and has won three titles (1980, ’83, and ’90) while playing for four (4) more (1964, ’66, ’87, and 2021) Enjoy this feature and get out to the games this weekend. Remember, your hometown heroes need a little help from you! See you at the game!

In the world of Kentucky high school football, a world about which we are undoubtedly familiar, the Trinity/St. Xavier game is often referred to as “The Game.” It is so big neither on campus stadium is viewed as sufficient to host the event. This is why it gets annually played at the stadium which hosts University of Louisville football games instead. This year neither team has lost a game to a Kentucky high school. That changes this weekend. We have taken a deep dive into the matchup, done our homework/research, and have forecast a winner. Let’s see how closely we get this or if we miss altogether. Very quietly, almost without notice, Coby Lewis, in his first season at the helm of the Lakers, is turning in a whale of a season and turning a lot of heads around the commonwealth in coaching circles. He has “The Lakers” out to a 4-1 start, the best start it started the 2016 season with a 6-1 record and one of Western Kentucky’s great defensive units. This week’s Player of the Week, Logan Smith, enjoyed just a spectacular game, but then again, he has been doing things like this his entire Laker career. It is called the “Holy War.” Lexington Catholic versus Lexington Christian. It is one of the more anticipated rivalry games in the commonwealth of Kentucky. It is getting played tonight and we have taken an in-depth look at the matchup and the men who will play it. We will forecast a winner, then we will wait and see whether we were right or wrong.
