One doesn’t get much more versatile than Fort Campbell’s JaCaryous “JP” Perryman. Last season, as a junior (’26), Perryman rushed for 603-yards, housed seven (7)-TDs rushing, completed 62-passes for 912-yards and 13-TDs, caught four (4) passes for 62-yards and a TD, housed eight two-pointers, registered 20-tackles, forced two fumbles, recovered one, and picked a pair of passes for 5-IRNYs. Say all of that three times really fast. The guy is a fantastic athlete who competes in multiple sports for his high school which competed at a high level a year ago in winning half its games. Enjoy this feature and let’s keep it cool out there Kentucky!

We have been hitting the history of the game we love better than any other this offseason pretty hard. Thing is, if we don’t do this then who will? We are telling you about players, coaches, and events which are such a rich part of the fabric of the KHSAA that they deserve to be told, they deserve preservation. This is another of those today. Today, we highlight a guy who is among the best QBs to ever grace the playing service on Morton’s Gap. Ladies and gentlemen…the great Mike Evans.

Timmy Williams from Trigg County High ready to rebound from injury @TriggFootball, @CoachEzell45, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom, @KyHighFootball

February 18, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Timmy Williams, a ’28 athlete and quarterback, came out of the middle school ranks among the more ballyhooed prospects the western Kentucky MS ranks could muster. Williams was off to a fast start when he got derailed by injury in the second week. If this guy can stay healthy, he could have a really solid sophomore campaign. So could the Trigg County Wildcats who have stepped down to 2A and will now face Mighty Mayfield on a yearly basis.

George Radford was among the greatest the Trigg County Wildcats ever put on a gridiron, a baseball diamond, or even a hardwood court. He was also a college letterman in football, an accomplished student, who became a wonderful coach, teacher, administrator, and now a businessman and entrepreneur. This guy could do it all. Join us now as we go over the fine career of George Radford and its impact on the KHSAA.

Blast from the Past: Breaking News…@HerdFB has added the biggest bull @DarionDearinger, @HerdFB, @bigassfans, @minguabeefjerky, @KyHighFootball

February 17, 2025 Henry Lyon 0

We were very pleased to get to break this news. Darion Dearinger, who was our top rated DE in Kentucky, decided to sign with Marshall’s Thundering Herd. Dearinger was derailed by injuries outside of his control but he was poised to threaten to start as a freshman at Marshall and was almost sure to start sometime his sophomore season. We believe this guy was headed for the league. He is a wonderful young man, from a wonderful family, and his star shines mighty brightly regardless. Enjoy this blast from the past.

Blast from the Past: Mike Holcomb, from @MCentral_FB, Wins No. 300! @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLpreps @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps

February 16, 2025 Henry Lyon 2

Coach Holcomb is a quirky, unique guy who deflects praise and criticism like its the Covid or the “Monkey Pocks.” However, “Old Holc” as we call him around the magazine has gone and accomplished something we aren’t willing to ignore. Congratulations Coach, from your friends at KPGFootball.

We wrote this article about John Carter Myers a few years ago. It was an HB Lyon piece about the son of a famous, high school football coach. John Carter was on a visit to Centre College when this was first penned. He ended up signing with Georgetown College where he is now a 6’2,” 210-pound linebacker. He gets plenty of play and makes plenty of plays. Looks like we hit the nail on the head here.

Henry Morgan from Henry Clay showing tremendous promise for a program ready for improvement @HCHSDevilsFB, @coachhawkins1, @HCBluedevilsMBB, @bigassfans, @minguabeefjerky, @KyHighFootball

February 14, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Henry Morgan plays for a program which has seen better days. Henry Clay High won a 4A title in 1981 and played for a second one in 1995. That was when there weren’t but four (4)-classifications. The Blue Devils are ready to get this ship righted and have brought in a proven “program builder” in Phil Hawkins. With talent like Henry Morgan entering his junior season, it won’t be too hard for the Blue Devils to keep it comfortable out there around district 7. Enjoy this feature and let’s keep it cool out there Kentucky!

It is the scourge of athletics today. Parents ignoring all sense or propriety to play their kids in the first string of an athletic contest regardless of merit. We see it causing fights and discord all over the place. Here is an analysis of the problem and how it may be fixed. FL.
