The Bank of Cadiz is very proud of its former in-season, Players of the Week who also made one of Kentucky’s more prestigious All-State Football teams. The Big Ass Fans team, which has a small school and large school component is the most thorough and well defended all state football team in the KHSAA. This validates our PoW selections. We will start out this all-state team with an admonition with which we begin every team we have ever published. We will miss on some guys. It is just important to note that your son not making our team doesn’t mean he wasn’t an all-state caliber player. Also, we expressly reserve the right to re-enter the team, even after it is published, and add worthy players who may have been missed or accidentally omitted. That being said, our small and large school All-State football teams, sponsored by Big Ass Fans, are the most expansive and complete teams in the business. This team here, and the coaches’s team published by the “Courier Journal,” are the only two legitimate teams in existence and we believe our team to be much more complete and legitimate than even theirs. Congratulations to the players who made the team and congratulations to the wonderful world of Kentucky high school football for providing us with the endless thrills and discussions we net from our following this, the greatest game on earth.

James Bradley, Jr., and his Hoptown Tigers took the home field for the final time this past Friday night for the first round of the KHSAA, 6A, football playoffs. The Tigers rolled to a 50-20 gut punch to the Daviess County Panthers. Along the way, Bradley rushed for 223-yards on 20-carries, five (5) of which went for scores. What a game this kid had. Bradley scored 36-points on the night (5-TDs, and 3-two point conversions). Bradley even threw in three (3) tackles on defense. We are very pleased to welcome Lasaters Coffee & Tea to our growing family of advertisers. The Kelley family has a very long history in the local football industry and several of the Kelleys have had their numbers retired owing to their familial history of playing excellence. We warned people beating 6A Hoptown would be challenge if Devaree Gude played. Without Gude, we picked Hoptown to win by 28…and they won by 27. Well, you know the Bank of Cadiz has a Hoptown branch and Tremayne Clay, from Hoptown High, had an extraordinary game against the Trigg County Wildcats. We thought since he did, we would reward his effort. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.
