Can Peyton Duckwall seize the reigns and lead his Chargers back to glory? @QBPeytonDuck, @KHSAAFootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom, @BECoachKendrick

February 19, 2026 Fletcher Long 0

Among the harder things to forecast is which freshmen and sophomores across the commonwealth look poised to come on the varsity roster and replace some of the huge talents crossing the graduation stage the prior spring. Let’s face it, some of these guys are just dark hard to replace. Bullitt East is graduating its starting QB, Cole Cornell. Who will step into those shoes for the 6A, District 4, seven (7) game winners? Will it be junior, Garrett Stickdorn, sophomore, Jack Pope, or freshman, Peyton Duckwall? At the end of the day, any guess we could make would be speculative. That won’t stop us from guessing. We are in the speculation business. Enjoy a look at a young player who has plenty of skills and tools to be “the guy” when the first snap comes around in the Fall of 2026.

Gage Chapman (’27) is our Bank of Cadiz feature of the Week @KatherineL58069, @Chapman42071, @MurrayQBClub, @LasatersCoffee, @eCampusdotcom, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @Ale8One, @CountyColonels, @HopHighTigers, @murrayFB

We continue on with our offseason coverage not really discussing players of the week so much as discussing featured players and prospects. Gage Chapman is simply among the best multi-phase football talents in the Kentucky-wide, KHSAA football game today at any level. Gage came up from middle school among the commonwealth’s most talented players and has done nothing but confirm we were all right about him from the beginning. Chapman is only going to improve over his senior season, particularly on offense where he should get many more opportunities. Chapman is the kind of kid coaches want to coach and, in the end, that may be the finest compliment which can be paid to him (or any other kid). Enjoy the feature.

Kolin Baker ready for his shine @KolinB95, @vashawnFB, @BodeDarland, @JahbarriFrost98, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

February 14, 2026 Fletcher Long 0

Kolin Baker is largely believed to be among the top-five (5) DLs in Kentucky’s ’28 graduating class. This belief persists in spite of his contributing a scant eight (8) tackles and a single TFL over his 14-games of play his sophomore season. Then again, the kid did see PT in 14-games for Kentucky’s foremost high school football program during a season in which the program won its 3rd consecutive, 6A title and 30th title overall; so, there is that! We have before said a college player will find the field in high school sometime during his sophomore season. This 285-pound wrestler certainly found the field as a sophomore in 14 of the team’s 15 games. What his stats either were or weren’t seems rather trite and mundane compared to the amount of PT he got on the KHSAA’s most talented roster, wouldn’t you agree? Enjoy the feature.

Is Jalen Dantzler the best safety in @khsaafootball? Yep. @JalenDantzler_9, @CoachDantzler, @CHSJacketFB, @KyHighFootball, @Doug_Preston1, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom

February 12, 2026 Fletcher Long 0

Jalen Dantzler is either the best athlete in the high school game in Kentucky or certainly among them. This kid, frankly, has shown this offseason a penchant for doing physical things other kids just can’t. This kid is running the 40 in under 4.4-seconds, shuttling in the low 4.2’s, broad jumping close to 11-feet, all while standing a minimus of 6’2,” with a long reach and lengthy frame which may even add an inch or two before it is all said and done. This kid had a dynamite junior season for the Yellow Jackets and figures to add a senior year for the story books. At the end of the day, Jalen Dantzler is a high end, Division I backend guy with all the physical attributes and characteristics coveted by the “Big Boys.” Enjoy the feature.

Jaxson Dernocoeur got a taste of what varsity football entails and finds himself hungry for more! @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee, @FC_FALCONS_FB

February 10, 2026 Fletcher Long 0

Jason Dernocoeur is a guy who has loads of promise and appears prepared to do lots of work to develop into the type player he wants to be. He is built like an interior offensive lineman, wears the number of a guard or center, but will probably have to pull “double duty” through much of his high school career. This young guys has shown he has what it takes to get it done. Congratulations to Jaxson Dernocoeur for being our ‘Wake Up and Smell the Coffee (or Tea)’ Player of the Week from Lasaters Coffee & Tea where you are more than served, you are loved!

We bet you didn’t know a Kee Klamp is a real thing. It is a galvanized, steel pipe fitting with thread-less connections used to create pipe hand railing and other pipe-based structures. Our Graham Keyklamp shares some characteristics with the Kee Klamp used in construction. In this feature we will tell you about this star from Montgomery County and his plans to thrive under the tutelage of a brand spanking new head football coach. Enjoy the feature.

Keshaun Tipton looks to take the next step in his high school progression for his program @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee, @FC_FALCONS_FB

February 3, 2026 Fletcher Long 0

We are always looking for the next big thing on any high school’s roster. It is no secret the Falcons will have to replace a pair of all-timers and all-staters in Perryman and Dixon. From where will the “next wave” of production come? Well, we have studied the situation and would be very surprised if Mr. Keshaun Tipton didn’t take a huge step forward in his sophomore season. What he did as a freshman is cause for optimism we would submit. Congratulations to Keshaun Tipton for being our ‘Wake Up and Smell the Coffee (or Tea)’ Player of the Week from Lasaters Coffee & Tea where you are more than served, you are loved!

DJ Wren was a lucky find for the Wildcats (Lynn Camp) from Corbin @campcoach, @Nick_King25, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom

January 31, 2026 Fletcher Long 0

DJ Wren was a tremendous running back at the 1A level for the Lynn Camp Wildcats from Corbin, KY. Wren averaged nearly 9-yards per carry and close to 200-yards a night. Wren was the team’s leading passer, rusher, scorer, tackler, and tackler behind the enemy line. Wren is a varsity basketball player too who figures to have a bright future ahead of him regardless of where or in what sport he happens to spend it. This guy is just one of many examples of outstanding football players who go undiscovered, every season, throughout the Bluegrass. Enjoy this look at a kid who made our Small-School All-State Football team this past season.
